Absolutely amazing restaurant! The staff are very amicable and welcoming. The food is off the charts and is very reasonable in terms of pricing. The starters were light and the main meals, although looked small, were filling. I would definitely recommend coming here.
Probably our best meal in Scotland so far! The food is just amazing, couldn’t fault it one bit. Loved the scallops and chorizo starter, the venison was so tender and melted in our mouth. The cod was flaky everything was perfect. The waiter was so friendly and nice, great wine pairing recommendations! GREAT service, and attention to detail! And the amaretto sour was delicious! Don’t forget the desserts : if you have space for it, get the cheesecake!
The food served at Rocpool was of high standard. The starters, the 4 different main dishes and the desserts we ordered were so sumptuous and deliciously tasteful that you will want to go again. It is the finest food that I have tasted so far during my trip. The price may be on the high end but it’s worth it. Don’t give amiss to this restaurant if you are in Inverness.
An impulsive lunch walk-in after seeing the menu and reviews. All deserved. A nicely laid out and comfortable dining room. The layout means that even if busy you do not feel as though your conversation is being overheard. The fixed price lunch menu is a delight with high quality dishes and something for every taste. Well worth a visit.
Recommended by the owner of our Airbnb. She said it was her favorite and it was very good. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with excellent service. We thoroughly enjoyed the dinner. I had the sweet potato soup and oriental chicken salad. My husband had the appetizer special of tuna and the linguini entree. Highly recommend.
Probably the best meal I have had out in a long time. Excellent food, service, atmosphere and attention to detail. Will definitely be back. Photos don't really do it justice but you get the jist.Food: 5/5
The best meal that we’ve had during this trip to Scotland. We ordered from the lunch menu and I had the pesto pasta dish as well as the shoulder of lamb, and my wife had the cod. All were delicious, well seasoned, and incredibly fresh.
A highly memorable dining experience for all the right reasons. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I had the duck ragu first - the meat was very tender and it was a surprisingly large portion for a starter. I followed this with the halibut and sweet clams, so fresh and artistically presented. The decor is very tasteful, with a relaxed buzz in the room. The service was immaculate - waiting staff were very efficient, friendly and professional. Our glasses were never left empty! Also, they gave us excellent recommendations as to where to head on to for a night cap. Prices were at the higher end for a meal in Inverness, but in this case the adage ‘you get what you pay for’ was absolutely true. We’ll be back.
Very nice place would recommend! The food is good value for money and very enjoyable too, the staff were very friendly and attentive too! In the Rocpool we ordered: Tomato and Basil Risotto, Parma Ham Salad and Cream of Cauliflower Soup, starters. Then we ordered Battered Fillet of Hake, Oriental Chicken Salad, Monkfish and Rice main meal. For desert we had Coconut, Blueberry and Almond Cake, as well as the Creme Brule. Since there is a lot of food here I won't criticise them separately in paragraphs but I will give some important points on the dishes. Start of with the starters. I absolutely loved the starters they were are amazing and everyone enjoyed what they got. I had the tomato and basil risotto which was creamy and delicious and I could've eaten a huge bowl of this. The soup had a distinctive taste of truffle oil and felt very luxurious, it was tasty and silky and wasn't over seasoned. The salad was delicious. It tasted fresh and the pears were succulent yet still had a bite to them. The main meal was a slight disappointment, don't get me wrong they were delicious as separate dishes but together the dish just didn't seem to come together. The oriental chicken salad wasn't bad but wasn't great. To me it was too sweet and just didn't match well with the cashews. The crisp on the chicken was really nice though. The hake was delicious and we could not fault it. The monkfish and rice, like the oriental chicken, the separate components were very tasty but as a dish it didn't really come together. Despite this all three dishes were pretty great. The deserts really made the three course meal. The cake was fluffy, soft and nice but really I thought the creme brule was the best desert. It had a great crackle on the top and the custard just melted in my mouth. It was divine. Overall great place to come and eat. The staff are super kind but I would advise you too book online as it is quite busy. Here for a couple days and we had made bookings in advanced. Highly recommend you do so as well. Service and food were great.onky thing they could do would be a greater selection on whisky. Which is just me being picky. Still 5 stars all the way around.
