The Rocking Horse is a family restaurant with a Fuzzy Eds Play area. We also have a great beer garden with outside play equipment for the kids.

Story

We run a full menu which consists of lots of 2 for £10 meals. We also have a sunday carvery and a childrens menu. We are situated next to Aintree Racecourse, Home of the Grand National.

Brilliant bar! We found it on a previous visit last year and wanted to return again. Afternoon entertainment through to the evening, very reasonably priced drinks with special prices until 18:00hrs midweek. Clean and friendly establishment. Toilets are always clean too. The only downside is the service is sometimes a little slow - that's not a reflection on the staff, but the number of staff allocated to the bar. One evening we were there and only one member of staff was on - she'd also been serving earlier in the day when we passed.
Good pub with a great atmosphere at night . . Danny Fitz was brilliant .

Sadly the service was awful.. twice they failed to serve the left hand side of the bar..even when waved at they served someone else.. our party of 3 and another two couples left and went another bar. Sad really because the entertainment was great.

Music was great. I closed my eyes and I thought it was the radio. Drinks were lovely and reasonably priced. Cracking atmosphere, lively place. Would definitely return
Staff are friendly and they have a large selection of lagers on offer. Only have Tetley for bitter drinkers which was the only downside. An IPA would have been great. Live music was on, which was a good standard and bar prices were reasonable. Worth visit of you like live music and a beer.
Decent beer but the muppet on stage had his volume levels so high to cover the fact he can't sing or play sort of spoiled the visit.
