We had a brilliant experience. The staff are all so lovely and welcoming. The food is gorgeous. Two of our children are neurodiverse and both of them loved the food- which is a total win. The portions are huge, my husband got a mega mix grill and wow, he couldn’t even finish it. We will definitely be coming again.Food: 5/5
We were walking up the canal from Old Roan to Maghull and this is a convenient halfway point for lunch. If you didn't know where this place was you'd never find it. Luckily someone invented GPS and the Satnav will now get you get here no problem. I enjoyed the Hunters Chicken baguette for lunch. It was very reasonably priced. Service was quick, and staff were very helpful. They have a reasonable range of beers and ales. They also have a large beer garden and car park which I'd imagine would fill up in the summer.
Booked for large group on the morning of visit and notified it was for daughters birthday an hour before when checking we could take a cake. Arrived to birthday banners, confetti on the table and a birthday card! Service was great, food arrived quickly and lovely as always. Catered well for allergies too! Made he children feel special not just the birthday girl!
Huge thank you to the bootle arms! This is our local pub and is a regular place we go. We really enjoyed the movie night they do. While eating our food and enjoying a few drinks. The staff are amazing! And food is always perfect. Couldn’t recommend enough. Also a huge bonus why we love it there is it’s dog friendly and they have there own dog menu!

Wow such a lovely place with a very fresh and friendly atmosphere too, we where strangers here but never felt like we where the staff are so lovely and friendly and nothing is too much. We will be making this our go to in the future if you have not been yet make sure you do. I cannot recommend this place any higher than amazing. Thank you for making us feel like this we will ge back.
The Bootle Arms was busy, but Paul and Lyndsey had nothing but smiles and time for us. Everytime they came to they came to the table, they chatted to my 3 year old making him smile! Honestly lovely food, lovely family atmosphere and great staff! Thank you so much for a lovely evening! Kid-friendliness: Park outside to play in. Friendly staff who interacted with my 3 year old Amazing kids menu for kids all ages!
The bar staff who served us was really friendly and amenable. The serving staff were great and brought our food out quickly. My family and I all enjoyed the food and had a great time - the atmosphere was very welcoming. We will absolutely be coming back again in the futureFood: 4/5
Visited the Bootle arms on Friday evening, for the second time in as many weeks. My friend and I arrived and it was very busy, but once again we received a very warm welcome. Thank you Lucy! Once we got settled and ordered our food, even though it was very busy, we observed that the team worked really well attending to the guests. Well done to all involved! A big thank you also to Aimee and all the kitchen team for the delicious food and Lucy our server for recommending the nachos to share Thanks again see you all soon
The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable about my Coeliac requirements. They were smiley and very welcoming. Honestly, the staff make the world of difference. Food was absolutely perfect too. Could have done with more obvious and shiny drinking bowls for the dog however. We could happily have spent all day here. Dietary restrictions: Superb options for Coeliacs, very knowledgeable too.
