The interior is nice, but noisy. The music is loud and the crowd makes it even worse. Perhaps we are too old for this place. The food was a pleasant surprise. Almost gourmet quality. Well made, tasty and good looking. Not very many waiters. They were busy, but handled their job nicely. Good value.
Recommended by one of my friends for a nice early dinner did not go in vain. This place takes us through a small corridor towards the top to one huge resto-bar that has got a lot of space for big groups to have as much fun as they want! The staff is super friendly and funny. The food is amazing with or without any drinks, but I would definitely recommend their wide variety of drinks they provide. Have a dig on those fries and their cocktails for a good start!
Located on Dublin's Temple bar, Roberta's presents nothing but a door and a logo at street level however once you head on up you are treated to a bright and fairly expansive, stylishly decorated restaurant and bar area. If you fancy the Al fresco there is also the trendy terrace area. They easily accommodated all 6 of our work group. The staff were very friendly and chatty if not a bit scarce when we first arrived and the area was fuller . The menu is both compact and varied, although one colleague was disappointed the "regular" / non vegan burgers are only available on the brunch menu. I had the ham hock starter with pickled vegetables. It had good texture and taste, and pretty large as far as starters go. Followed by the crispy seabass with rosemary potatoes. The sea bass was perfectly cooked, crispy skinned but still light and flaky and incredibly tasty. The dish was a little let down by the vegetables which were just a bit past perfect and unfortunately cold. The cheese board was huge and shared between 2 of us. The cocktail selection was fun and extensive, although I was a little confused as to why the entire of the outside of my glass needed to be coated in sugar. It was unfortunate that the night was so brief due to the government guidelines, we would have surely stayed to sample more of the cocktails.
Amazing atmosphere, incredible staff and superb food. We went there on a Saturday night was a DJ playing for the guests which became a little bit noisy but wasn't a problem at all. I highly recommend this place. Hope come back soon.
Great service and atmosphere. We ordered the pizza and it came fairly quickly and it measured About 14-16" across. Very tasty and unique combinations for all their pizza's.
The place is pleasing to the eyes. Great place if you're taking someone to a date I think. The cocktails are very good. I recommend their Irish Maid or Red / Green if you want non alcoholic. The pasta, pizza, and sides were very good as well. Just book in advance, especially if you're a large group, as they are always full.
I have only tried brunches at Roberta’s and it never disappoints!! I love their cosmo petal mocktail. The service was really nice. Since they changed their menu, the waitress was kind enough to take the time and explain each dish. I would have to say that I have a preference for the previous menu , but the new one is also nice. The atmosphere is good and not noisy at all. I highly recommend this place :
Wasn't 3* I would score it as 3.5* but as I can't, I would say it's closer to 3 then to 4 unfortunately Reason for that would be that we had few small issues with waiters not understanding us what we wanted clearly. My wife get wrong drink and reply from waiter was that she wasn't clear enough what she wanted. No offer was done to replace the drink free of charge or even to charge the new one. Second incident was, one of our friends he asked waiter how much is this drink and point to the drink he was asking for, waiter said let me check that for you and he went and bring the drink to us even without us ordering it, again same response we weren't clear enough, when simple questions was asked how much is it,not can we get another one. For paying end of the night €28 for tips that we couldn't choose and it was mandatory, I would expect to have perfect service, then tip would have sense. I honestly think that would be an issue of really loud music in dining table part,as we barely were able to talk across the table. There was 8 of us and we couldn't have normal conversation for my wife birthday just with the person besides you. Food was decent, was expected bit more from pizza as Italy is famous about good pizza. So slightly disappointed on that part,as the middle of my pizza was almost like a soup and it was hard to eat it, as pizza is meant to eat - with hands. I would come back again to give another chance and try other type of food
I got the pork belly and seabream and it was probably the most bland meal I had during a week and a half in Dublin. The presentation was beautiful, but the taste just wasn't there. Based on the food, I'm guessing you're paying for the ambiance and to me it just wasn't worth it.
This place is a must go. Loved the staff and the food! The place is so beautiful. Please order the goat cheese starter and the bread with butter as well. I am sure you are going to love it.
