Mulligan and Haines
"Dublin streets are steeped in literary folklore and the site of our bar is no exception.Mulligan & Haines creates a unique connection between the past and the present as it draws inspiration from Chapter 10 of Joyces’ Ulysses - a passage in which antagonist Buck Mulligan and his companion Haines entered this once Dublin Bread Company and enjoyed some tasty fare whilst engaging in a humorous exchange.Mulligan & Haines aims to offer patrons the very best sandwiches and baked goods in the city in a bid to pay homage to our origins - all washed down with delicious craft beers and cocktails. This is a place where stories are shared and enjoyed, music is played, hearts are won and lost and friendships thrive."

Had a great experience on a Saturday night. Pub was packed but is to be expected on a Saturday and the area. Prices are average for the temple bar area but great atmosphere. Live music is great! Can be difficult to grab a seat and not a huge amount of room to stand but had a great time and would be back!
After two other places we went to on a Sunday stopped serving food early we were told to quickly head to this place before they closed. We are happy we did! The food was amazing, so much flavor. Fried Brie, bangers and mash, and beef stew were all great. The live music was nice too, not too loud so we could still hear each other speak.
We chose this place because our dogs name is mulligan. We went in having the hopes of good food. We were not disappointed, the onion rings were hot, and very tasty, the fish and chips flaky and crunchy, and the stew don’t even get me started, it was incredible, the portions were very large and hard to finish. The staff was nice, and the food came out before we had even expected to see it
We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Service was great and wine was really good. Roast chicken was delicious. Pasta, truffle fries were really good. Would highly recommend.
Food & drinks were great but I have one complaint. It was about 7:30 when I was half way through my food. A family came in to be seated but the blondish bartender behind the bar kicked the family out of the restaurant as one of the kids was wearing tracksuit bottoms. This would be acceptable if it were after 9 or if it were a group of young boys but it was a boy & his family who were refused service at 7:30 as one was in tracksuit bottoms. Absolutely unacceptable and the blonde/brunette girl with glasses should feel awful
Went here for drinks. Place was nice, bit pricey but atmosphere and live music were amazing. Guinness was awful, tasted like rusty water. Don't order a Guinness if you go here, the Kilkenny was good though.Service: 4/5
Nice food and the staff are really polite. The atmosphere was strange with Irish rebel songs playing non-stop in the background. Probably suits the tourists market better who think this is normal, when the reality is far from it.Food: 3/5
Nice spot to catch up with friends. Good music and friendly staff. Food looked good, but didn't eat there at the time.Service: 4/5
Cool space very busy so book in advance. Went to the craic den downstairs enjoyable night. Lovely cocktails and friendly service
I like the live music here. Some seating settings at the back of the place make it a little more private for groups, which is nice. Prices are reasonable for the location and cheaper than the bloody Temple Bar area.Atmosphere: 5/5
