The driver was very punctual and polite. I was a bit concerned as he wasn't very careful when holding the steering wheel and he drove faster than I would have liked. He did stay within the limit on A217. The journey was reasonably priced, not too expensive. Thank you.
I’ve had varied experiences with Road Runners. Last night I ordered a late night taxi and it was late being dispatched, no notification and when I phoned up to check where it was there was no apology or acknowledgment of it being late and they couldn’t really tell me when it would come only that “it will be with you soon”. I cancelled but based on the info I did get it would have been 15 minutes late minimum so I had to walk home alone at 23.45.
The service itself was great. However, I have a loyalty card that should provide a discount. It does not work when booking through the app and has not done so for well over a year now! High time that this problem was rectified, if Roadrunners don’t want to offer a loyalty card discount they should not issue loyalty cards!
I cannot fault RoadRunners Gatwick Ltd. Very prompt and professional service. The car and driver were very presentable. The driver was friendly and it was a pleasure to have him drive us to our destination. I would highly recommend them without hesitation and if I could, I would give them 10 stars.
Used roadrunners a lot in lockdown when working for test and trace. First time using them in a couple of years. Taxi arrived in good time and I felt safe with the driver, he was polite and drove very carefully. Fair price too.
Booked a taxi for two hours later. Showed as confirmed and money taken from my bank account. 20 mins past booking time, no sign if taxi or if it being dispatched. Contacted dispatched, all they said was “we’re busy”. No apology or anything. No resolution. Avoid!
Booked a NYD taxi for 3am 2 days in advance having done some looking around prior. Road runners what the best quote around. No communication up until 3am on the night our taxi was booked. Phoned the operators, only to be told there was a problem with the booking/prepayment which we would have been happy to do if communicated told we had to click a link to pay but saw in the text they had inflated the price by 70%! They hadn’t even dispatched the car and would only do this after payment; which was an extra 40 mins wait. Generally difficult to get hold of and communicate, and massive inconvenience. Decided to get a well known taxi app for half the inflated price.
AVOID at all cost, me and 6 friends were stranded in Brighton at 5 in the morning, I booked two taxis and it didn’t state anywhere about the wait time being 2-3 hours and then the rude member off staff hung up on us when we asked to cancel the taxi and get a refund as they took the money even before they confirmed our booking! We only had the money for these taxis so that being taken without no taxi really set us back, I needed to get back to my newborn for 6 and didn’t arrive home until 9! Not happy I also believe the operators name was thorone something along them lines
DO NOT USE! For the 3rd time I have now missed a train because of a roadrunners taxi being late! Today it was over 30mins late! I always allow a few extra minutes when booking for traffic etc but the last couple of times they have been so ridiculously late. The office staff are extremely unhelpful, dishonest and unapologetic. My driver was actually very nice, he didn't receive my job until the taxi was already 23 mins late. Save yourself some stress and agro at work for being late and use a different company!
Awful. My partner had a very important doctor appointment. We booked the taxi at 10:30 so we had enough time to get there. Taxi never showed. Called up and asked where it was. No apologie nothing. Why let us book a taxi for that time when they can’t send a taxi out to us. Lucky station cars Oxted saved us and turned up after 5 minutes. Avoid at all costs…
