Our dinner was good and tasty. The staff were also good. The only issue we had is that there must had been some problem with the fire in the entrance since the whole room where we were seated became getting filled with smoke and it became a bit uncomfortable.

When I saw the reviews I thought yeh right 5/5 I will find fault ..but I have just left feeling food fantastic and so impressed with the quality of the food , that though the roast was a tad pricey at £13:95 it was worth every penny ..and the Bailey's cheesecake was orgasmic.. The only other gourmet pub that resembles the quality of the food I have just eaten is the Michelin star Pony and Trap which was also amazing but a little pricier. The Rising Sun is a must ,especially on a sunday 👍👍👍

Nice food, portion size could have been a bit bigger, but then i am a pig. Friendly staff, nice quiet atmosphere with a roaring fire in the woodburner

Lovely pub, with very warm welcome. Beautifully redecorated and very pleasant coasy area by the fire... Perfect after a dog walk!

An excellent rural establishment serving excellent food, excellent beer and with excellent staff, what more can be said? Well worth a visit if you are in the vicinity. You will not be disappointed!!!
