Story

The Boat House at Bradford-on-Avon Marina is a friendly family pub and restaurant.

There is plenty of free parking with easy access to the Kennet and Avon canal. There are also well maintained garden areas and a fabulous children's play area.

We are open all day every day and serving food from 11:00 - 23:00 sourcing only the best local ingredients using old English recipes with a modern twist.

Service was quick, the staff very polite and we loved looking out at the boats. The food was absolutely delicious, we will go back but maybe in the evening because it is mainly main meals on offer. As they are serving food nearly all day I cannot mark them down, other establishments have an early afternoon cut off. I did remember to take snaps of out food and must admit I wish I had chosen the same dessert as himself it was absolutely delightful.
Well this was a wonderful experience and I will definitely go back, such lovely surroundings and views in and out. Than maybe walk of the gorgeous food by taking a stroll around the harbour

We hired the function room upstairs for a sit down meal and evening party for a small wedding reception. The staff were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Very accomodating, friendly, helpful and they worked their socks off ensuring everyone got their meals quickly and efficiently. No glasses were left on tables for more than a few minutes before they had cleared them away with a smile. What an absolutely great team service, an asset to The Boathouse and we can't thank them enough for making our day all the more special. Now for the food.....in a word....EXQUISITE! We were blown away by the quality and skill of the chef's who masterfully put together 30, 3 course meals for us and our guests from the function menu. The menu itself catered for all and having someone needing gluten free and vegan options, it didn't disappoint. Shame we didn't get to personally thank the kitchen staff, so I hope our comments of appreciation are passed on. The evening buffet selections are great, shame there was so much left overs after a few no-shows for evening party, but again fantastic quality. From all of our friends and family and a very grateful bride and Groom, Thank you for making what could've been a stressful day a memorable and magical one! :0
Visited for a Sunday lunch and the food was superb. Not too busy and service was quick.
Hired the function room for a wedding... The food was outstanding!! comments from guests included "this is the best wedding.... no this is the best meal I have had away from home" "divine" "Great venue choice" I would highly recommend for functions or simply just a meal out!
I had the set three course menu, £29.95. Mushroom starter was tasty. The lamb was some of the best I have ever eaten. Cheese and biscuits, plentiful to finish iff. Would certainly go again.
Spent the afternoon here to celebrate our daughters 50th Birthday. The Sunday Roast was amazing and the Staff couldn't do enough to help. Thank you so much for your help in making it a Special day.
This should be zero. We came up to Bradford on Avon for our wedding tomorrow, we wanted to have a nice meal out the night before but that’s not what we got. We booked online but they were clueless we had booked. Chicken Caesar salad was almost £20 for a bowl of lettuce, nothing else just a bag of £1 lettuce with half an anchovy and a dry frozen chicken breast on top. I can honestly say I’ve never paid for food and been so disappointed, genuinely hands down the worst meal out I’ve ever had. Such a shame as it was supposed to be such a nice evening. We also ordered burgers and these were pretty dry and bland, I’d be embarrassed to serve that salad and I can’t believe they charge so much for it. Incredibly disappointed with our meal and the experience. Sorry to leave a bad review but if we don’t say nothing will change.i wish I’d taken a pic to back this up but sadly it wasn’t something I was proud to post that I was eating so didn’t bother.
