Rise sculpture is a landmark artwork and it is a complete metal structure looks like a small ball placed inside a large ball. Its not a park or a walking track, just a roundabout in the middle of the road. Its located in the Broadway roundabout, around two miles away from the Belfast city. You can see it in two different ways in the sunshine and with lights in the night.
Balls on the Falls The local area is named the Falls and these are balls I would like to know how much they cost the tax payer I like them. I also like figures.
Rise Sculpture taken from the footpath on the Westlink. We like to call it the 'balls on the falls'. There is also a time capsule here to be opened in the future.
Wow! Awesome creation!
It's absolutely amazing, and the best part is that it's free to look at! Definitely recommend going to it for yourself.
Just go see it stand under it and wonder where we all came from
Beautiful sculpture to drive past at night but absolutely not worth walking up to, as it’s in right the middle of a motorway roundabout. If you do end up there somehow, visit the nearby Falls Road and look at the murals.
I was in belfast for two days decided to go view this, its pretty interesting close up. So mysterious because you don't know why its there, but at the same time. Is very well created. Nice view.
Nice wee structure in a middle of a roundabout, good for tourists to see especially at night, if you're a tourist i'd recommend you look at this, easy way to kill 20 minutes, but for me, as a local its a waste of money that could of been spent on something better like the NHS, or improving roads and getting rid of potholes or at least something that needs improving in NI, rather than making a big metal ball and plonking it in the middle of a roundabout and firing some lights up on it. I suppose it brightens up the city and gives a more modern feel, but it cost ££££££, I think that could of been spent better on other issues that urgently need addressing.
Worth seeing at night. This huge installation dominates the local skyline and is definitely one of the most iconic landmarks in SW Belfast. I only wish it had been there when I was a kid as it looks like a climbing frame sent from the Gods.
