We had the great pleasure of taking a Black cabs Belfast tour with Hugh Jordan what an insightful and so pleasant man , We would totally recommend him it is a gret way to see places you would miss otherwise. Thanks so much Hugh Tommy & Anne from Co Dublin
Did a tour through Shankill area to get a greater understanding of "the Troubles." One of the points of interest is the Bobby Sands mural. A very sobering and informative tour; you can read about it all, but hearing about what happened from someone that lived through the worst of it will give you a more expanded perspective.
Had a black taxi tour yesterday. Top class experience. Our guide Trevor was excellent. Paddy's Black taxi tours was the company. Would highly recommend them. Couldn't do enough for us
First time in Belfast, took a taxi tour ,around these places and was saw interesting to hear what went on
Interesting experience. In the main tourist neighborhood in downtown Belfast you would never suspect there is still sectarian tension from the Troubles, but a visit to the murals and the gates in the fence that divides the Loyalist and Republican neighborhoods of Belfast that still close daily and you can feel there is still lots of healing left. Difference in murals from protestant/Loyalist to catholic/Republican side are interesting. Well worth the visit.

I took a tour of the history of Belfast which covered the area of the "troubles". It is an important part of history in Northern Ireland and definitely worth the time to see.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
The mural is interesting. It was educational to learn about the Catholic side of the troubles and how someone turned from violence to politics and hunger strikes to try to make a change.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Can’t miss this mural on a side street in Belfast… learning as much about the Troubles, Bloody Sunday and the hunger fasting puts this all in context.Visited onWeekend
