Very interesting little museum! Highlight has to be the virtual reconstruction of the Roman fort. Brilliant resources for kids and a lovely family day out.

Made a 50 mile trip for this in bad weather sign on door sorry not open till.12pm today so we tried to shelter from rain 1pm person drew up in car slammed his door first words are you sheltering from rain or do you want to come in? Only it's my holiday and I've had to come and open the doors for you ? No sorry the way he spoke was dreadful and apart from three cars that already turned away and the four of us I'd say this person has lost you £50 or more his attitude stunk and does not deserve to work there paid or unpaid we carried on to Samlesbury Hall Free and spent our money with people who deserved it

It's a great museum for the local history of Ribchester in its Roman context. For a small village it's very impressive but you would have to be interested in Ribchester specifically.
