Really interesting museum. Visited Fleetwood specifically for the museum and was not disappointed. Excellent volunteers running it. Pity Lancashire County council have closed so many of their museums. Less reason to visit the area now.

Very good museum depicting life in Fleetwood through the years good coverage of the main industries fishing ship building and the salt mines also the impact of the railways and the war efforts and Queen Victoria’s visit. Many thanks to the very knowledgeable staff for their outstanding contribution always on hand to answer your questions other museums should use their expertise as a blueprint as it made for a very enjoyable experience well done and don’t forget to ask to see the last fishing boat built in Fleetwood

Interesting museum concerning the history of Fleetwood, the fishing and other lesser known industry of the town. Enthusiastic volunteers assist with your edification. On some days there's even live events. Our group really enjoyed it.
