Lancaster city museum has a brilliant collection of items on show. Exhibition comprises of Harry Potter, witches trail and upstairs there is a local history display and Kong's own regiment.

After years of living in Lancaster, I had never actually been to our City Museum! It was an unexpected treat: there were loads of exhibits on our local history that were fascinating to learn about, from some of the archaeological discoveries made to military history to the infamous Witch Hunt. It was a fantastic way to spend a few hours.

Good museum and worth an hour or two on a day trip to Lancaster. Specific focus on the Pendle witches and, on the top floor, the King's Own Royal Regiment. Currently (March 2018) has a Harry Potter theme room with an interesting time line showing events in the HP and muggle world.
Entry is free bit a £3 donation is suggested.
