The Neuk restaurant served great food, waiting staff were very considerate and friendly, and strong WiFi. Perhaps it needs some background music for some ambiance. Hotel owner very accommodating for laying disabled ramps for the wheelchair user in the group.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The problem is the breakfast. There was almost nothing left of the cold breakfast by 8:15 am. No yogurt, fruit, milk or juice. They did not bring any more. A woman asked and left because it took so long. The girl working the first two days was decidedly unhappy with her job and regarded such requests as an annoying inconvenience. Staff also cannot multitask. Back and forth with each individual task. A little bit of thinking would greatly improve the speed of service.
Not on Hotel but the take away, very disappointed in the take away, we had Chicken Goujons and there was a huge amount off greasy batter with a whole lot off nothing inside. We paid restaurant's prices for what seemed careless pieces thrown into a carton box. I know it's a take away but think a bit more love could have gone into it
This hotel was so dreamy to stay in - lovely, clean, spacious bedrooms with a bath and shower. I think the photos don't quite do it justice. The food was also delicious, particularly the steak and ale pie. The staff were kind and helpful. It's right next to the harbour and in a very convenient, central location for getting around. The parking is very cheap at 60p per hour Monday to Friday/Saturday.

Not commenting on the hotel. Only the food. The chowder and linguine were good. But the seafood platter for £24 tasted very frozen and would’ve easily been cheaper, simpler and more fresh from a fishmongers considering it was all cold preprepared with a bit of undressed salad. Very disappointed.
Absolutely lovely hotel , clean rooms with a really comfy bed . Food amazing, great choice, cooked to perfection. Staff were friendly, helpful. For us the perfect place to stay and explore the great Orkney Isles .
This was my second visit as I stayed there 10 years ago to the week working up there and it was great then, I had to return there with my wife and show here around the beautiful sites and places of interest like the Viking and medieval archeological digs, the Churchill Barriers, the bays and coves, cliffs and wildlife, too many to list and of course the Italian chapel, there is a book called the Italian chapel by Philip Paris if you can get it, I got it second hand from world books read that and you will want to go there. The Albert is fabulous the rooms are spotlessly clean and safe, We stayed in room 102 and it has a nice bathroom and power shower + bath, I like the room because it has 2 windows and is a decent size and a good big bed. The restaurant is very good and the food is great, the staff are very good and spend time to talk to you special thanks to Anita in the bar and Morgan in the restaurant who were 1st class and are asset to the hotel, this place will always have a place in my heart and I will definitely be back there next year to see the northern lights. Well done all of you at the Albert I look forward to seeing you all again in better times when we can have a good time without masks and restrictions, Till then we love you all. Very clean room and bathroom, bed and pillows quite comfortable. Bedsheets and towels were fresh. Check-in staff was pleasant. Enjoyed my overnight stay and will definitely use this place again when I visit
Stayed here for 2 nights in our honeymoon this August. Really enjoyed the stay. The room was beautifully furnished and decorated. The food was really good. The hotel was well decorated and immaculately clean. There is a really friendly bar next door the Bothy Bar which is associated with the hotel. Thank you to the staff at the Albert, they were excellent!
