Decided to give Raj Rasoi a try over Christmas. Yes, it's expensive and the portions aren't huge (I think some people mistake quantity for quality), but the quality of the food is fantastic. The chicken, lamb and beef are melt in the mouth and the flavours are great. Service couldn't be faulted. Move over Cellars, this is my new favourite Indian.

Tried here for the first time recently and had a meal delivered. It was more expensive than a takeaway usually costs which I have no problem with if the food is good. Unfortunately it was terrible. Worst meal we had ever had. Had biryani that comes with a vegetable curry. This came with a container of what can only be described as yellow water which was meant to be the vegetable curry. Not sign of a vegetable or texture to the sauce, just watery with absolutely no flavour whatsoever.It was inedible. The rice and chicken ( which was scarce) was ok at a push. Worst Indian meal we have EVER had and would never use again. I did call to discuss with the manager as more of a feedback issue rather than complaint as he needs to be aware. The manager was in no way apologetic and did not appear fazed by such awful feedback. I was told that if you eat in the food is better??? Not sure how he came to that conclusion unless he has a different chef for takeaway meals and doesn’t care if it is of dire quality which is how it came across. Either way....save your hard earned money and go elsewhere.

Fantastic atmosphere, top class service and most of all the food is just unbelievable! Lamb shank is a must try. Loved it.

Possibly the most expensive indian in the area at around £25 per head which is London prices not Stourbridge! For that price you'd expect fantastic food but it isn't as good as other less expensive indians in town like Bombay Pickles which is outstanding. The food was much tastier under the previous owner and much cheaper too; it used to be our regular then but we won't be going back under this owner.

Tried this place after it changed hands from The Lounge and we weren't disappointed. Great food and service and reasonable prices. The inside could do with a refurb though - think they have looked the same since the Watercourse was there!
