When it's good its brilliant, but that's not all the time unfortunately. Best to go when it's a bit quiet. Update! Saw that it had won an award in the local paper, and the photo showed a gorgeous cricket bat sized piece of fish. So instead of going to Merchants we thought we'd give Oldswinford another try... Big mistake. Fish was tasty, but nothing like the photo in the paper. Chips were pale and soggy, and the mushy peas were soapy and in a thimble sized pot. Even the pickled onion was disappointing. It was t much bigger than a cocktail onion! Drive a hundred yards further and go to merchants.

A great place to go for great fish and chips You can also have your fish cooked the way You like also the rest of the large menu is also of a great standard also family run business.
