Booked 6pm Saturday evening. It was busy, but staff were friendly and attentive. Food was lovely.. well cooked and generous portions. I had salt & pepper squid followed by mussels. Both were delicious. Mussels came with sour dough bread and chips also finger bowl with slice of lemon for messy fingers Only down side was the group on the table next to us.. the 5 kids with them were running around, jumping on the furniture and screaming at the top of their voices! Next time will definitely book a later table.
Came here for a Sunday lunch after going to Merry Hill. Was immediately taken by the design - really lovely pub, with great staff and dog friendly to boot! So the food...oh wow. The Sunday dinner was perfect, with exactly the right mix of veg and tender beef. But the dessert was something else. I had the roast peach Tarte Tatin - pictured - and I'm not exaggerating when I say it might be the best dessert I've ever had. It's not something I'd ever thought of before but I absolutely loved it. I've had a really really lovely afternoon here, and can't thank the staff enough - particularly Rachel, the waitress who helped me choose!
Summary Food-5 star Service-5 star Experience-5 star I ordered the scampi and chips at the recommendation of my waiter Ben and I was genuinely impressed. I am generally not a fan of shrimp but this was actually an enjoyable meal, and I look forward to trying the other items on the menu because of it. Now the service was out of this world. My waiter Ben was so helpful and patient. It was quite comforting since I haven't been in the area before. It also was great that the food came out fast and hot. I would have given a higher rating but 5 stars is the most I can give. The experience was all around fantastic. The atmosphere, service, and food really made the whole place feel homey. I would recommend trying this place if you are in the area or even as a place to take a trip to.
A calm, relaxed and peaceful restaurant environment. Extremely attentive staff who clearly work well together as a team. Good food, good drink. A great place to meet friends or just to avoid cooking at home!! Thanks to all the staff who make it a great place to visit. We will definitely be back and recommend to our friends.
Had fantastic service and the waiter was great. I believe his name was Ben, really great and nice guy. He made me feel very welcome and good. The food was great as well and came out quickly. Overall great service and would highly recommend.
Have been many times, food always lovely, staff very friendly. Lots of food and drink choices. Great to pop in for a quick lunch or a special family occasion. Highly recommend
We have been going to the Crabmill for drinks throughout the summer to sit outaide but as its gone cooler we decided to venture inside. I was really shocked at how varied the menu is and how lovely the food is. The desserts are amazing & the decor is really nice and cosy and it has a great atmosphere. I'm currently on crutches following surgery and they are always so helpful and accommodating. Really friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.
First time we have been here, lovely friendly pub. The menu is quite extensive and all reasonably priced. Despite being very busy we didn't have to wait long for our food, which was lovely. I had a Sirloin steak and my wife had Lamb shank. Both meals cooked beautifully and we're nice and hot. I had a crumble for desert, which was also very hot, and very nice. The staff were all very good and the young lad who served us was exceptional, he was the only waiter and was very efficient, nothing was to much trouble. Highly recommend both the pub and the food.
Went to a birthday meal for my sister, mom and Auntie. The food was amazing and the service was fantastic. Ant and Dan are amazing on the floor and Neil in the kitchen. This was in the 5th on November. Very lucky to have an amazing team working for the Crabmill
Went for Sunday lunch with family, most disappointing. Staff were polite but not very efficient. We waited over half an hour for our lunches and the restaurant was not at all busy. It was so cold that we kept our coats on. When the food eventually arrived it was not value for money. We won't be back.
