What a lovely place friendly staff plenty of seating clean and comfortable. I would recommend this place for people to go. Fantastic outdoor seating play area for children all fenced off. An all round beautiful place to go.
Absolutely beautiful food. Friendly staff. Quiet and calm atmosphere. Nothing to grumble about. Fast service. Overall a really good meal out on a Monday evening
Very nice they had reserved part of the pub for us to sit in. I was there at the end of a day with my walking club. The day was fine till about 13.00 when the rain started and stayed for the rest of the day. The staff were very pleasant and helpful the Tyneside Blonde beer was very nice as was the Atlantic Pale. The chips weren't too bad either. Thankyou very much to all concerned.
We loved it! We were a party of 11 people ranging in age from 8-82 and the menu suited everyone including vegetarians. We pre ordered food but were pleased that we didn't feel rushed through as a result. Our younger members of the group enjoyed the good outside play area. We asked for two separate bills which was not a problem. The staff could not have been more helpful or pleasant. Every person in our family thoroughly enjoyed their food. The only reason there was a little left over food was due to the generous portions. We are only visiting on holiday but would definitely recommend and would visit again ourselves if we are in the area.
Good customer service, food wasn't too bad either.
An excellent place to find a Sunday dinner in East Durham. Great selection of meats; chicken, gammon and beef or a trio of meats for a supplement. Along side the meat there's a portion of veg, mash, roasties. It's all very nice and definitely worth trying. Service is fast. Hart is such a beautiful quaint village too.
Took my mother for her 82nd birthday, 6 of us in total. Service was spot on as was all of our meals, huge portions and really tasty. A great night was had by all of us.
A very disappointing experience, I booked a table for Christmas Eve in plenty of advance. The first time I rang I made sure I asked for disabled access as my stepdad is in a wheelchair, at a later date I had a call to confirm booking and seat numbers, i also confirmed disabled access. You can imagine how annoying and distressful it was when our party arrived and no disabled access was in place, I was asked if he could walk at all because our table was up a couple of steps, my stepdad also has dementia and get very confused, we tried to make the best of a bad situation but ultimately ruined our night. I hope lessons will be learned and no one else has to endure what happened.
Me and my husband have been twice for lunch. The service is fab by the way, but the first time our order was completely forgotten, we did ask after half an hour, but waited another 40 minutes before being told we had been forgotten. The second time one plate was inedible, it was freezing cold. But like I said, the service was great, it was replaced and we were discounted. I will go back.
Food was amazing, lovely pub and staff, would highly recommend
