Local, fresh ingredients delivered and prepared by our chefs daily. We serve hearty portions of traditional home made pub grub in a friendly atmosphere

Story

We served a variety of dishes from Thai curries & Chinese dishes to the traditional British favourites steak, Guinness and mushroom pie & Fish, chips and mushy peas. Everything is made fresh daily on site and comes with either chunky home made chips or baby new potatoes & Salad or Vegetables.
We are a family run business and we strive to provide a family friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We have held The Spotted Cow since July 2012 Since then Business has soared as word of mouth travelled. Our Sunday lunch is always a sell out with big portions of either Roast Topside of Beef, Leg of Pork, Leg of Lamb or Chicken Breast served with a delicious meaty gravy, Carrots, Cauliflower, Swede and Cabbage. Accompanied with Roasties & Mash and huge home-made Yorkshire puddings.

Chicken on the Sunday lunch was dry. The very small amount of veg had every ounce of life boiled out of it and left for pulp. The mash potato was lumpy. And the deep fat fried roasties where raw in the middle. The gravy all though looked tasty, sadly was not Only the beef was done perfectly. Id rather waste my money throwing it out the window then spend it at the spotted cow. !

Good food and drink. Nice environment, but the customer service was the real stand out. Great staff.

I've always liked The Spotted Cow but hadn't been for around 2 years. I visited there in February and ordered a parmesan (my usual) and it wasn't nice, it looked so nice on the plate and looked like a huge portion. Once I started cutting into it I noticed it was more cheese than anything else, the sauce resembled chicken soup rather than cheesy bechamel sauce. However, the rest of my food -chips and salad was nice.

Saturday lunch visit. Two perfect steak meals eaten in front of a blazing fire. Friendly helpful staff .Will definitely return.
