I have had several older watches repaired by them. They give a repair warranty even for older watches, i.e. If something needs to be redone there is no extra cost. Very friendly and competent service. I have also bought a used pocket watch there recently and got a very good deal.

I replaced the battery on my watch but couldn't get the case back on so I visited during my lunch break. Was charged £15 to put the case back on for a job that took the owner less than 30 seconds. I explained I had replaced the battery because the watch was loosing time regularly, the owner patronized me for not seeking his immediate assistance. A few days after of no improvement I visited a local watch repair shop and without taking the watch apart it was immediately identified that rust existed on the crown and hands. I was given options at that point on how to repair the watch but decided to sell the watch for parts, giving the shop owner a courtesy consultation fee for his time. It was clear at that moment that R Hancocks had just taken my money either fully knowing the battery replacement would not solve my issue or they were fully incompetent in basic diagnostics. Won't be returning, avoid!

I dropped off an Omega Speedmaster for a general service, and when I picked it up I found the watch was fitted with the wrong minute and hour hands. The staff were accommodating and apologetic, and took the watch back to be corrected without any fuss. After a few weeks the watch was ready with the original hands fitted, however now there was a mark left on the hour hand (left by a tool I assume). Again the staff were apologetic and took the watch back to fit a replacement without any issue. Finally I have it back after a 4 month turnover in all, and all's well. While I had no problem dealing with the shop staff, the fact remains the watchmaker they use cannot be trusted to provide good work in time. Use at your own risk.

Although you may have to wait for your items to be done as in made from scratch,,, it's worth its wait in gold 💝🙂👍 just keep ringing,,,, the staff are really nice friendly
