Loved it. Stayed there for work in Bath, easy to commute and as I was on a work trip either my teenage son, it offered us plenty to do there to keep him busy. The place is well thought through, clean, has everything you need, will be going back as a familynl for sure!
Lovely log cabins in tranquil setting. Fantastic range of on site activities for children all inclusive. Swimming pool, hot tubs, table football, pool table, cinema, play area. Friendly and obliging owners.
Lodge was lovely homely , however our friends heating didn’t work in lodge , lady who checked us all in said she didn’t know !!nGood job our friend could fix it !nLovely and quiet but the pool was freezing shamenUs or another family could not use it so cold !nNo WiFi at all whilst we was there we all struggled getting any.nVery quietnHot tub is lushnBut needs more lighting by joy tubs as this time of years it’s dark so early ,
Family of 5 on a 3 night stay in the Woodpecker Lodge.nThe hosts could not do enough for us. The mother-in-law got to sit on a Harley, I got to drool over a 1961 Capri, the kids got to feed carrots to the owners ponies, and everyone loved the hot tub. Not to mention the games room, trampoline, park and swimming pool; the kids enjoyed our time at the lodge as much as our time exploring. The lodge was cosy and comfortable and ideally located. There are bottles of sanitizer at all doorways and mask compliance in the reception office. Shower is decent, kitchen very well equipped, and there is a big Tesco a short drive away to stock up on food for your stay. We enjoyed trips to Bath, Wookey Hole and Longleat Safari Park each within a 30 minute drive.nThe host was genuinely interested in satisfying our needs and making sure we enjoyed ourselves. The kids already want to go back, we will stay here again.
We came here for a hen weekend in October 2015. Cabins were very clean and homely, had everything you needed in them. It was good location 15-20 minute drive to Bath. Onsite facilities were second to none. Owners friendly and non-intrusive. Could have easily spend the weekend and not have to leave the lodges. Good value for money. Hoping to revisit next year.
