We visited this cottage in April 2018 and first impressions seemed OK until we started to look around and noticed how the cleanliness of the place failed it. The edges of the carpets/floors were dust covered and so were the skirting boards, the windows were dirt covered and other guests had rubbed the dirt so you could not see out from them. The units were covered in dust and dirt as was the floor behind the units and the sofa. The bed room was the same but the bed was not a double but two 3/4 beds lumped together and they were very uncomfortable as were the pillows. The bathroom was unclean with pubic hairs on the floor and the toilet stained with urine marks under the pan seat, bath was the same with hair inside it. when we walked into the bathroom there were item of personal hygiene from the previous guest on the unit top that had not been disposed of. Many of the window units to doors and windows were blown and full of steam. The cooking utensils were either heat burnt or the non stick was peeling off. The owners failed to maintain the Hot tub and during the short time we were there they never added any more chlorine tablets or checked the water quality. The cottage was full of cobwebs either behind curtains or hanging from the roof or walls. We walked out after 3 days after trying to make it clean to suit our standards - totally disgusting even other guests had left negative comments in the visitor book regarding the cleanliness of the building. I would not recommend this cottage to anybody looking for a stress free break.
