Another of Grainger Market’s gems Pumphrey’s Coffee Located directly next to my favourite Biang Biang Noodles store, this coffee bar is a definite must-visit for coffee enthusiasts the ambience is lovely for a quick cuppa, or just to sit in and have a nice warm hot choc. I just love the vibes. The various types of beans they have, their knowledge of their craft, the barista art - all adds to the charm of this spot. I like to stop here just after having pleasant meals in the offerings of Grainger Market
All the other coffee beans in the world are peanut butter and jealous of the beans that arrive at Pumphreys. Each bean is gently massaged by their elite baristas before being flawlessly crushed into smooth seductive coffee dust. That dust is then expertly crafted into a delicious coffee that will bring you more comfort than your own mother's embrace. You'll thank the team for their hard work, excellent customer service and class coffee. And you'll weep knowing that the coffee you have at home will never measure up to this little Geordie coffee haven. They also do tea. 12/10
Been a customer here for the past 10 years and it is my go to place. The friendly welcomes from the staff and the lovely atmosphere within the Grainger Market, teamed up nicely with the most delicious coffee, makes coming here the number one choice. Staff are super knowledgeable and are able to offer suggestions and recommendations.
These coffee beans are the best! Fantastic quality at prices that won't make your wallet cry. And I scored a coffee dripper that came with more than 50 filters, and makes the perfect V60 brew. Seriously, I can't stop raving about this place – it's my coffee paradise!Food: 5/5
Coming from Sydney and being picky about coffee, this place surely steps up as one of my favourites. Coffee like we get in Sydney. Tried Daterra Sunrise blend - strong good coffee with nutty flavour and good aftertaste.
What a gem of an independent coffee shop with a very knowledgeable team to help and advise your way through the notes and offers of coffee beans on sale. It was a delight to see the coffee making being done correctly by Samson and the excellent customer service given by Roberto. Thank you for giving that ray of sunshine on a cloudy day!
i have been thinking about posting a review quite a while now. The black guy working at Pumphrey’s is very rude, in contrast with the general atmosphere. In general decent qualify coffee but personally I’ d appreciate a touch of politeness and manners.Food: 2/5

Coffee is simply delicious from here. Great staff and so knowledgable about the black stuff! Takes American Express. Nice place for either quick coffee or the paraphernalia that comes with coffee making!!
Came in the morning and the coffee is sooo good. Was planning to bring some beans back but it’s a bit pricy.Food: 5/5
