Good points: Fairly well kept course, usually quiet and has some fun holes to play. Bad points: Crawling with inconsiderate dog walkers, usually windy because it's on top of a hill.
Great views and a nice challenge while not being too busy early on a Saturday morning, for a beginner. Staff are polite thank you for helping me find my lost property and it's in pretty good condition fairways a bit leafy in the autumn but not much to be done about that. Only downside really is the dog walkers who decide to have a 10 minute chat in the middle of the fairway or let their pets run in the bunkers. And the fact the main gate is often locked for some reason not useful if you have a trolley, and the paths very muddy in the winter. Overall though, a solid 8/10. Go there most weekends.
Love the wee braids course for a quick round of 9 holes. 1.5 hours max Good test of all abilities and those VIEWS are stunning - just breathe in the air and let your mind truly tune into your game
Fantastic views from this fairly short but fun 9 Hole course. There a number of blind shots which is more in keeping with a links course albeit its in a parkland type setting
Has a shop where you can hire clubs and buy tees and balls I think. The staff was incredibly friendly and we could play as absolute beginners on the 9 hole course. You have to park your car at the braid hills golf centre next door.
Well maintained for a council run 9 holes. Good turf. Small and quirky with blind shots and barely a flat lie, but totally enjoyable nonetheless . And those views!
Lovely walks and beautiful views over the city. I don't play golf but it looks like a really well maintained and popular course there always seems to be someone there with a set of clubs.
We love this handy 9 holer. Great for a quick'ish round or as a warm up for longer exploits the next day. Plus the views cannot be surpassed - simply awesome
A great little course. Nine holes only, but a good work out with beautiful views.
Good wee beginner course. Small greens make it a good challenge for better players .
