stopped by to check the facilities ect maybe give them my buisness and it looked nice. Spoke to bloke preparing to tee off .politely asked him a few quick questions about how you join and become a member .he was ok at first then became rude & insulting thinkin it was funny .unfortunatley for him my camera was recording the conversation .whats has the club secretary have to say about attracting that kind of clientele being part of this club with attitudes and passing insulting offensive remarks towards potential members .
Nice club. Great bar/restaurant overlooking the course. Decent course with some great views over Edinburgh
Nice layout, a hilly course, glad I had an electric trolley. Had heard great things, I was disappointed, thought it would have been better than it was, even at this time of year March but having said the green fee was reasonable.
The course was immaculately presented, especially the greens. I also personally have played in the Gents Foursomes / Greensomes for 40 years and loved the convivial atmosphere and friendships I/we have built over all these years in the Clubhouse. Unfortunately, this atmosphere in the clubhouse was removed a few years ago when they stopped the free ' refreshments' at the 10th, where golfers met and exchanged good banter. The refreshments have been returned but sadly, the banter hasn't.
Beautiful course, very well set out with excellent mix of pars of varying length. Greens and tees all immaculate. Club house is beautiful inside and very friendly staff.
Beautiful course and nice friendly staff and members, very welcoming!
The club very kindly gave public access to the grounds during lockdown. As someone without a garden, it was wonderful to spend time in green space with ample room for social distancing. Beautiful views. Thank you very much Murrayfield Golf Club
I've been meaning to write this review for almost a year. With travel and the world almost ending, it's been hard to get around to writing this review. But as I pulled out a Murrayfield tee out of my suitcase, I was reminded yet again. Mike, in the proshop, made me feel right at home. I was visiting from the US, and only been golfing for a bout 2 years, but i could NOT pass up a chance to play somewhere in Scotland. I was pretty nervous at first, but right when Mike answered the phone, I knew I made the right choice. I was worried I would ask the "stupid" questions, but never made me feel like an outsider. You could tell he was genuinely excited for me to get out on the course, and that's why i'm writing this review. If Mike is there, or reading this, I'd like to thank him for making that round and experience one to remember for the rest of my life. Cheers!
Great course, good condition. A few quirky holes, good day !
Lovely Building with good food and attentive staff I would give it 10 out of 10. It's just a pity I don't play golf.
