Lovely practice, friendly staff members. I would recommend any new patient to register with this surgery. Patients receive personalised care and are in good hands with both the clinical and non- clinical team. Thank you to everyone at Primrose Hill Surgery
Very helpful practice manager. Helped with my application for a blue badge. Wouldn’t been able to complete the form with his help. He gave me an hour of his time and I am very grateful that the application is completed after many tries.
Very confused by the other reviews here. In my personal experience over the past year, it’s a poorly run facility. Getting a proper Drs appointment is nearly impossible. For example, I showed up in person yesterday wearing a face mask and coughing uncontrollably to try and get a booking for this week because I’ve been sick for a month and couldn’t successfully schedule an appointment through the outdated website. I had also been advised by a previous receptionist that I’d have a better chance of getting an appointment if I showed up in person to make the request. Rather than looking for a future appointment time, the woman on the desk told me I needed to call today after 9am to check the day’s availability. When I did, and no appointments were available she simply wanted me to keep calling back day after day until I got one. This is no way to provide medical care or service. It’s a Drs office, not a lottery.
Beheshta was an absolute gem and helped me promptly and professionally over the phone. I've also called the surgery a few times over the past few days and have always gotten through quite quickly. Thanks for the brilliant service!
Been at this GP since the age of 4, I couldn’t imagine ever changing. I would like to particularly thank the lovely receptionist Thushy Selva, I called the GP closer to 6:30 and he helped ease my anxiety by helping me with a request straight away. Couldn’t thank him enough.
I have been with my family in primrose Hill Surgery and they were from the beginning to today so amazing. Nothing else to say but thanking them for the support.
We cannot recommend this surgery enough. They've been so responsive for our family's every need - urgent, non-urgent, small children, adults - and always so pleasantly and professionally. A testament to the NHS. Thank you for all that you do.
I have lived in various boroughs in London and I have never had such consistent poor care at a GP practice. I try to avoid negative reviews, especially for the NHS because there are many services that are incredible such as emergency services and many GPs around the country, but for anyone considering registering with this practice, I would suggest joining neighbouring ones in the area. A few of the doctors here are excellent but for the most part, the doctors, nurses and receptionists are incompetent and rude. Writing and speaking to the practice manager to express my concerns was fruitless. I've luckily been able to rejoin my previous practice where the care from doctors to the receptionists are exemplary. Chronicling only some mishaps makes me mad at myself for not leaving this practice earlier, but now I've finally come to the conclusion that proximity is definitely not as important as proper care. Some of my experiences at this practice include but are not limited to: - The GP who told me my fingernail was not infected and advised me to use a knife to check if my nail was ingrown I did not. The next day, I needed emergency plastic surgery to remove my nail due to a cellulitis infection. Emergency services joked that the GP that gave me the knife advice was from the 1400s. - In the same vein as giving medieval advice, one of the nurses at this practice who took my blood pressure went on a rant about "foreigners" in this country after she asked what I was studying and I told her, asylum law. She then blamed me for my blood pressure rising after I was visibly stunned by her comments I'm used to ignorant opinions in my line of work but not expressed by health professionals. - I have chronic health conditions and need semi-regular blood tests, and the carelessness in taking my blood and marking my forms at this practice was astonishing. Every single time, every nurse who took my blood marked my forms incorrectly so that I would have to redo my blood tests up to three times each round, in order to have my forms marked correctly. Asking them to double check the forms each time was also fruitless. This is especially frustrating as I am anaemic, thus I am not supposed to have too much blood taken. I am obviously not a phlebotomist or else I would have marked the forms myself. - I lost count of the number of times the reception did not log in my appointments so that I wasted work hours coming to the practice for my appointments, only for the reception to tell me that my appointment was not logged into the system. I have often overheard other patients express the same issues with the reception when I was in the waiting room. The practice manager told me reception was going to undergo re-training, but it either has not occurred yet or they weren't paying attention. The competent doctors at this practice are weighed down by the rest of the staff. I advise anyone that remains or decides to join this practice to triple check their appointments are made, their blood tests and results have been done correctly and that critical information hasn't been left out of their tests, and if medieval, questionable advice from doctors is received, ask to see another one until you feel safe, heard, and treated.
Dr Kotecha is a true gem of a GP. She's so knowledgeable, efficient and genuinely caring.
It was always such a nice GP, but since after pandemic it became shockingly bad. They lost my blood tests twice. One of the doctor in charge is the most rude and unprofessional doctor not sure how she can be in charge. Have cancer in my family a other factors that put me on the risk list she told me to look for an app instead of doing a blood test to check up as I already had a surgery before and need monitoring. She was late 40min when no one was there then instead of apologising she started “attacking” me verbally and try to say I was late, disgraceful pathetic way to scape their own mistake. When I left reception apologised and told me the machine wasn’t working that’s why I wasn’t called, it can happens and I’m a quiet polite person so if the doctor wasn’t rude I wouldn’t even care. Luckily they have nice people still there like Barbara and Emma who cares about solving problems and helping people. Missing the old management. In these days all became just money and no love for their profession. Not all of them but certainly the one who should be an example for the others. Such a shame.
