We had a birthday lunch at Prima during our trip to Newcastle. It was one of the best food experiences lately. The two spiced margaritas actually had a kick to them which was great. The lasagna and pizza were fantastic. But most of all was the atmosphere of the place and just the best service. Khaoula made sure to give the best recommendations and was so nice! We’ll definitely be back when visiting Newcastle again
First time visiting, the staff were so lovely and the service was really quick. The food was impeccable, the restaurant and toilets were both sparkling. Lovely atmosphere and the portions were more than generous! Would visit Newcastle again just to visit this restaurant, will visit again in a heartbeat! The belly pork and black pudding starter was the best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life!
Prima is our go to Italian restaurant and it is always spot on. We dined here yesterday for my boyfriend’s birthday and the food was so good. We had a cheesy garlic bread which was excellent cheese pulls were insane and skinny fries. For mains we had the linguini paolo and the Mexicana risotto, which were both amazing. My go to is the linguini paolo and I can’t actually count how many times I’ve had it, it’s so good! We also had some strawberry daiquiris which were really nice and well presented. I’d definitely recommend dining here
One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to! The food was incredible, I’ll let you judge from the pictures but honestly, just wow! The food came quickly and the staff were lovely. Coming up from the south it was very, very fairly priced, think it was £115 for 6 drinks including 2 cocktails 4 starters and 5 mains which is just fantastic. Next time I’m in newcastle I will be making a conscious effort to get back to Prima.
Have been going to prima for years. Service and food are good and restaurant is clean. It can be packed during peak hours. The menu have been predominantly the same over a good few years now, apart from the price, which has increase on a yearly basis. It used to be affordable and a steal during happy hour. With the introduction of mandatory service charge and price hike, I wouldn't be going on much often.
Lovely 3 course meal. Went for a colleagues retirement do. Apparently I hit a hat trick with starter, main and dessert. My colleagues weren't pleased with their choice of dessert cheesecake which was mealy, when brought to the notice of the waiters we were offered a complimentary bottle of wine to make up. 2 for one on the cocktails made it a fun evening
I’ve been here a second time. The first time was quite good the second time was very bad. i do not recommend. The venue is cool. We were in the back with the high ceilings and it felt like eating in a cave. The cocktails were 2 for 1. I had the raspberry lemonade and it packed a deceptive punch. Really nice. The pasta and risotto are good. The pizza is poor. They only topped half of the pizza. You might as well get margarita because half your pizza will be that anyway and you might as well save the £7 difference. Service was very slow. What a shame.

Popped in for a quick lunch, which was healthy, tasty, and just the right portions. Pity that it was our last day in Newcastle as we would have certainly gone back for dinner. Great service with attention to detail to make sure our visit was perfect. Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is accessible in a wheelchair. I didn't need their toilet facilities, so I can't comment in that area.
Fab choices of food, risotto was lovely...pizzas were very good. Enjoyed a very relaxed atmosphere on a Friday night. Service was a little slow at times. 2 for 1 on cocktails was nice. Definitely would visit again. Vegetarian options: Risotto, Lasagne, Pizzas, Pasta
