Luigi's is the best Italian I have had in a long time. The portions are huge and totally worth the value. You get delicious bread and olive oil/vinegar to dip them in. Even the side salads and soups are huge. Everything tasted so delicious. And, I have to say the staff is BEYOND amazing. We love it so much my kids decided to come back the very next night for their birthdays. Both nights we had amazing staff that were so kind and accommodating to my son with special needs. This is such a hidden gem of a place. I am still craving it. The Florentine was delicious and they had the best pesto sauce I have had in years.
Our 1st time here, and the food was great. Service was exceptional! The type of service you would expect from a restaurant that wants you to come back. The staff was very attentive. Immediately cleaned every table after the guest left. Very clean restaurant. Bread sticks were some of the best. I had a pizza, and sauce was really good, generous toppings. Gf had the spaghetti and meatballs, said it was great. Casual atmosphere. We had a great meal, we did not leave hungry lol. We absolutely loved it! Definitely added to our list of favorite restaurants.
It makes me feel kind of bad to say it but the food and the service were absolutely terrible! When we arrived we were immediately seated and there was only one other couple at a table we waited for about five minutes for a waitress to come over and take our drink order and we ordered an appetizer of the breaded ravioli and then another 10 minutes, no drink ever arrived until I got my waitresses attention and asked her to bring them. About 10 minutes later we received our appetizer but no plates at which time I asked for them and she walked around to another table and took their order so we sat for at least another 5 to 7 minutes with no plates to eat or appetizers on. We got her attention again and asked for the plates and she finally brought them back immediately and the ravioli were overcooked and flavorless and the marinara sauce had a strange off putting taste and texture to it that smelled and looked a lot like canned dog food. I ordered the Alfredo tortellini and as you can see I received pale flavorless alfredo sauce the only spices are the three packets of pepper that I received from the waitress to try to season the Alfredo with. To be honest the best thing they had were the breadsticks. I would like to say the salad was pretty good but the ranch dressing was way too watery and pretty flavorless as well. I came to visit a friend and she took me and my mother here and I cannot express how disappointed we were. We did have some nice man walk by and ask how the meal was and we kindly just said everything was okay because there was so many people in there at the time that we didn't want to make a scene. As we were leaving you could look around the room and see how many people were sitting there still waiting on orders with their arms crossed and looking upset. Apparently they had a large catering order go out right before but to be honest that should be no excuse for lack of flavor or service. The waitress we had was not very friendly and seemed completely lost the entire time not to mention completely forgetful and mixed up our drinks which was a Sprite with lemon and a sweet tea I ended up with tea in my Sprite somehow. ‍‍
Amazing food and amazing atmosphere! Great place to dine with the whole family. Everybody was very friendly and helpful! Very reasonably priced with the most delicious lasagna I have had. Large portions that are presented well. Food was delivered hot, fresh and fast. Perfect dining experience. Highly recommend and I will be back.
I had an open house in Newcastle this afternoon, and I knew I would need to grab lunch somewhere close by. I’ve heard and read great things about Luigi’s, and it was right down the street from my open house. What can I say other than it was excellent! The food was great, especially for the price, and my server Breck-Lynn took great care of me. She was attentive, prompt, and friendly! I would love to come by and see you guys again! Thank you for taking care of me today!
I am absolutely delighted to share my rave review of this incredible restaurant! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service was impeccable, attentive without being intrusive. The menu offered a delightful array of dishes to choose from, each one more delicious than the last. The presentation of the food was a warm & delicious. I can't wait to return and sample more of their food. Our server was Violet.
Really nice place to visit. Affordable prices, friendly folks, and delicious food. I have tried a different item every time I visit. The Calzone is excellent. The sandwiches are great as well. The breadsticks are always hot and delicious. Great place to visit for Italian eats!Food: 5/5
I love this restaurant. I went to order food to go and was told it would be 25 mins. I then stated I can't wait that long I have a meeting to get back to. She said Well I can't guarantee it will be ready by then so it's up to you. Before I could even answer she said WOW hateful and hung up on me. Terrible customer service on her part, which is a shock seeing how I have gone there several times to eat, this was my first time to place a to go order. I also recommend this establishment to visitors in this town, I will not continue to do that! UPDATE: I typically wouldn't do this but I spoke to Luis and he was kind and shocked by this. He was very professional and apologized for this. I changed it to 5 stars because other than this instance I have always had a pleasant time at this restaurant and let's be honest the food is amazing! This staff just most of been having a bad moment. I will continue to recommend.
