Staff very friendly and had an enjoyable stay. Went for the Premier Plus room which were nicely spec'ed out. The weird thing was that there wasn't a shelving unit, only a tiny wardrobe, the shelf of which, at the top, was taken by the extra pillows. The air con didn't seem to work either. Bed was very comfortable and overall a good stay. Very handy for York, either directly driving in or the Park and Ride just round the corner. Would recommend.
Generally good but the wall heater was so loud overnight it kept waking me up. It was nice to be warm but could have done without the sound like someone hitting the radiator cover with a small hammer every time it heated or cooled. Not sure if the thing was old or if this is the same in all the rooms. Breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly.
Just what you expect from Premier Inn, nothing wrong, as it should be. Nice area to stay in. Other customers were a little noisy, not down to Premier Inn just ppl not being considerate. However did not bother us. Room was clean, facilities good, separate shower/toilet, ideal arrangement. Staff very helpful, friendly and generous. Parking easy and plenty of spaces. Bed comfortable and very clean. No air conditioning in room as normal. Room had lounger and desk. I would stay here again as value was good.
We spent two nights at the York North Premier Inn, and it served us perfectly well. In hindsight, I'd go for the plus room next time, because it offers air conditioning, as the standard room was quite hot on a summers night. The unlimited hot breakfast deal on site was top notch as usual and having the Dormouse pub a very short walk across the car park was an added bonus. Car parking was free, but you do have to keypad your reg # at reception to avoid a fine. We walked into York city centre, and it took us 55 minutes, but there are buses you can hop on along the route if you are so minded.
In a Premier plus room, but because of the size of the building they are not as good as other Plus rooms. The staff were marvelous on reception and preparing and serving breakfast. The location is great for both York itself and travelling further afield to the coast or other places of interest.
Stopped here overnight as it was closer to the centre of York for a gig I was attending. I was pleasantly surprised to have been given a Premier Plus room for the stay. It was lovely and clean. The Nespresso machine was a nice touch as was the bigger shower in the bathroom.Rooms: 5/5
A premier Inn is always a fairly solid choice in terms of value for money. However, what made this place so special was the staff. They were polite, personable, but most importantly go above and beyond to make the experience of staying with them good. You feel like they value you staying with them which feels increasingly unusual.
Our room was so hot. 29 degrees at 7.30 am with fans going. Rooms need upgrading with air con if future summers will be this hot. Staff were great and after 2 days they managed to move is in to a back room which was cooler.Rooms: 2/5
Took over 10 mins for the receptionist to find my booking. Despite a good location for York when on business, this was one of the most run down Premier Inn rooms I have ever stayed in and I have been to quite a few! The room was tiny, dingy and did not have a clean/fresh feel to it, but the bathroom just looked appalling - something you'd see in a roadside motel from an American horror movie! When charging at over £100 per night, I think a deep clean and a fresh touch of paint are well overdue and worth investing in!
This hotel reliably delivers everything you've come to expect from Premier Inn, with a pub on the doorstep and located conveniently close to a frequent bus service to and from York city centre journey takes around 10-15 minutes. And nice cooked breakfasts made to order rather than a buffet, which is civilised :-Rooms: 5/5
