The Waverley is a non-smoking, Bed and Breakfast run by brothers Ian & Michael.

Story

We are ideally situated within the town. The Waverley offers Bed & Breakfast. Only 3 minutes level walk to the beach, West Somerset Railway and easy access to Exmoor, which is a must to be seen in all seasons.
Accommodation comprises of comfortably decorated rooms. Here at the Waverley we have to offer, 4 Single Rooms, 3 Twin Rooms, 5 Double Rooms and 1 Family Room, some of which have en-suite facilities. All rooms do have their own wash basins, flat Screen Televisions and beverage trays. During your stay you will have access to your room at all times, you will also have access to our comfortable guest lounge for relaxing any-time of the day or evening.

Very friendly hosts who look after you. Parking is on the street but free and not difficult to find a space. Breakfast is from 8 to 9 but they provided a packed meal for us one day when we had to leave early. Certainly would stay there again Rooms: Room was very clean and newly decorated with well appointed en-suite shower. Tea coffee and hot chocolate with biscuits in the room and extras easy to find . Large wardrobe and drawer unit. Bed firm and warm Nearby activities: Restaurants and shops very close, the railway is close and then beach. Butlins and the quay are about a 15 minute walk away. Walkability: Easy 3 minute walk to the main shops and about 5 to the steam railway Food & drinks: Good breakfast with plenty of options including veggie
A small group of us were only here for a single night, on a bike trip to the Southwest. Our hosts could not have been more helpful. Even squeezing our motorbikes into their own private parking area. Our rooms were all top notch, newly refurbished and modern. Breakfast was great too! Would definitely stay here again, should the opportunity arise.
We had a really lovely stay - such a wonderful friendly homely atmosphere - we loved it! Near the beach, near the town and Butlin’s was nearby not that we ever intended to stay there but we were attending a Christian conference. The room was lovely, breakfast’s fantastic and water hot! Thank you Steve and your delightful family - we hope to be back next year God willing. Sorry we were noisy! We wish you a busy successful summer. Rooms: Cleanliness
Fabulous b&b, charming place to stay, spotlessly clean and welcoming, can't fault anything, our room was bright and comfortable and the breakfast was to die for , fabulous. Would definetly stay here again. Walkability: Not far to the shops and beach front. Food & drinks: Breakfast absolutely scrumptious.
Fantastic hosts. Cleanliness all through 100%. Bed was so comfy. Many extras provided in the bathroom that were unexpected. The breakfast was great quality and cooked to perfection. You are able to come and go as you please. A host is always available if needed. Great position in town and a short walk to the beach. There is nothing more that the hosts could have provided to make the stay more welcoming and enjoyable. Will definately recommend to all and will most certainly be back. Thank you so much for making our stay so perfect!!
Although I checked in late and also booked in the day-the manager was very accommodating and had a lovely nature. Parking was easy and free outside on the main road. The hotel is superbly placed being only two minutes from the bottom end of the high street and the beach just off to the right. As well as providing great recommendations for walks and local amenities and a superb cooked breakfast with an array of options. The room was large with lots of space, well cleaned, equipped with good hot shower, comfortable bed and tea and coffee biscuits etc provided along with spare towels and digital tv. Will be staying again for sure when in town! Best, Andy H
Epic breakfast. Friendly staff. Well located. Only downside might be that depending on where exactly your room is it might get hot in very hot weather, though Minehead seems to have a moderate microclimate. Rooms: Fair size rooms with reasonably large sized beds. A double room will only have one chair in it unless you ask for two. As usual with hotel rooms with TVs, bring spare batteries. Food & drinks: You have to go out for dinner, though you have a choice of three all close by.
Apologies for the delay in writing this review. We stayed in early December to go to Dunster by Candle Light. Nice rooms with lots of lovely little finishing touches. A good selection of beverages in the rooms with yummy biscuits - much appreciated after long days. Great hosts - could not do enough to make sure you had everything you wanted. Gorgeous veggie breakfast with perfect eggs every day - no matter how they were cooked. We will be back!

Lovely room, very clean. Welcome tray andd toiletries in room. Would have been good to have mirror near hairdryer,which didn't have a movable plug.Rooms: 4/5
