It served its purpose. Room was dated, but the hotel is currently being refurbished, so considering it was one of the old rooms you could tell from signs of wear and tear, it was fine, it was clean, and a comfortable bed. It's a 3* hotel, and I got what I believe was a 3*, so can't complain.nnOnly spoke to a few members of staff but they were cheerful and helpful and the guy on reception when we arrived gave info on the Dreamland venue we were attending, so I would say based on the staff members the service was beyond 3*, hence going for an overall score of 4 as opposed to 3. Only one thing I forgot to tell them was I asked for some Decaf coffee sachets as there were none in the room, and they obliged, but unfortunately when I was about to make my coffee I realised they had a best before date of end of January 2024.nnLocation was perfect for what we needed as it's literally 2 minutes from the venue we were attending, but if you want to be near the old town then there are close hotels/B&B's, but it still isn't that far away, especially if you go when the weather is nice.nnOverall, it was fine. It wasn't expensive and I didn't go expecting the Ritz.
The restaurant was closed for a refeferb, so guests were offered a complimentary breakfast of pastries and fruit. No fruit materialised.nNo Internet.nNo water to the bath or shower, I was given an absolutely ridiculous reason by the receptionist that water must have entered the overflow, and it would take 20 minutes for the thermostat to reset!!??nWe had checked in at 15.30 and tried to have a shower at 20.30!nTried again in the morning to no avail.nWould not stay again.
Rooms really run down and no air con. Was sweating on top floor. Only tiny window and a fan that did nothing other then blow hot air around. Had to lay on the floor to try keep cool during the night. Had to fill sink with cold water to keep drinks cool. Hardly any parking spaces around 20 so will be lucky if you get one. Had to park about 5/10 minute walk away which was £9 for 15 hours. Quite pricey if you are there for 24 hours for an event etc.nService was good though. Really close to dreamland, beach and station. Just a shame the hotel let the experience down.
Hotel a bit tired this year ... stayed for a week ..no TV or WiFi all week ..staff tried hard to sort but couldn't. Self service buffet breakfast now has to be ordered from waiter .. Still have as much as you like though. One choice of beer ... all the other beers were unavailable. Staff very nice and helpful. On going building work doesn't help but I was told that premier Inn is changing how it operates with Brewers Fayre.
You can pay more for a sea view. It's really near the station so very convenient. Vegan options for breakfast are good, IMHO.
