Hotel a bit tired this year ... stayed for a week ..no TV or WiFi all week ..staff tried hard to sort but couldn't. Self service buffet breakfast now has to be ordered from waiter .. Still have as much as you like though. One choice of beer ... all the other beers were unavailable. Staff very nice and helpful. On going building work doesn't help but I was told that premier Inn is changing how it operates with Brewers Fayre.
Rooms really run down and no air con. Was sweating on top floor. Only tiny window and a fan that did nothing other then blow hot air around. Had to lay on the floor to try keep cool during the night. Had to fill sink with cold water to keep drinks cool. Hardly any parking spaces around 20 so will be lucky if you get one. Had to park about 5/10 minute walk away which was £9 for 15 hours. Quite pricey if you are there for 24 hours for an event etc.nService was good though. Really close to dreamland, beach and station. Just a shame the hotel let the experience down.
Don’t stay here if you don’t want to cook or if you want any sleep. Thank god for the reviews that warned me I’ve just been to my car to get the extra fan I bought. Prem inn put there’s on a two hour timer so u have to get up and reset several times in the night. Such a shame as perfect location. It’s only 17 degrees outside the room is sweltering very strangely roasting.
Really can’t fault the staff here as they were helpful and friendly, however the TV had no signal and I was told this was an issue in most rooms and had been reported. A retune only helped get a couple of channels. The bed wasn’t made properly as seen below minor issue as I quickly remade it myself. The bathroom is in major need of renovation and a deep clean. Breakfast was not that great and due to lack of staff only done cook to order. I was very disappointed that the coffee machine was broken for the two nights we stayed. Also bear in mind it is next to a train station where you can feel the rumble of the trains and hear them although not a nuisance. It didn’t affect our sleep.
Good location and room was not bad, a little bit scruffy but relatively clean. The biggest let down for us was the lady at the front desk. She was very abrupt and quite rude when checking us in, she clearly didn’t want to be there. We stayed for one night and cost us £200 for a twin room, definitely not worth the money considering breakfast is not included in the price and an extra £15 per person.
