What an amazing place! I was treating myself to a spa break, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience… I upgraded to a sea view/balcony room and treated myself to a 2-hour treatment in the Spa… everything about my stay was perfect, the little touches in the room, the friendly staff, the lovely bar and restaurant area breakfast was delicious and my margarita was excellent….. not at breakfast I promise!. Travelling on my own I was a little nervous, but I couldn’t have asked for more! Can’t wait to come back and to try the other hotels in the collection. Thank you
Let me start by saying that If it wasn't for Arthur and another member of staff, my review would be 3 stars or less.nnWe booked one night at No 42 for our Honeymoon at Margate. We had breakfast included, a package for our dog and a package that included early check-in and a cream tea for 2.nnWe arrived at No 42 at 13:00, the hour of our early check in but our room was not ready, I then speak with a supervisor or manager who had no idea of my package. I then quickly check with Arthur, who was on front desk, and he recognises my packages within my booking and quickly accommodates us in our room. We are then in the room, which was not completely clean and there was not a dog bowl or dog bed in the room. We then communicate that these objects are missing and we are given those shortly after.nnOn the next day, another very kind member of staff of the Pearly Cow, the restaurant of the hotel. Kindly changes our breakfast time and serves us an amazing breakfast! Finally, Arthur kindly lets me know that due to our room not being ready on time and the other small details, he would take care of us.nnIf not being for Arthur and the other worker, we would not be happy with some amenities of the hotel. Otherwise, is an amazing hotel with an amazing restaurant. the Views from the rooms or restaurant are very relaxing. you'll see the Margate Sea in its whole wonder. No 42 has all Margate has to offer within a walking distance, a Beach, a dog-friendly beach, a perfect maritime walk, the shops, transport. It's perfect!
My husband and I booked a beach spa day experience as a treat and we would 100% recommend. The copper cove experience was so relaxing, and Nadia and Harriet were brilliant as our therapists. Afternoon tea afterwards was very generous with the benefit of a sea-view table, and the nearby sauna was the perfect end to the day. It was a lovely start to our mini-moon!
We stayed at No42 for a relaxing weekend away and it couldn’t have been better.nnFrom the moment we arrived at Margate train station we were greeted by warm and friendly staff. Our luggage was kindly picked up at the station which meant we could take a short stroll along the beach to arrive at the hotel.nnOn arrival we opted for a drink on the terrace of the Pearly Cow restaurant, the terrace has the most spectacular vista of the beach and the service and drinks enhanced the experience.nnThe room was beautifully decorated, a lot of thought and detail has gone in to the design. My wife loved the fabrics, colours and beauty products. The room was extremely well kitted out and had a large smart tv with all the apps, a dab/digital radio, great coffee machine, record player, fridge with handmade cocktails and excellent air conditioning.nnBreakfast and Sunday roast is exceptional and the sunset cocktail on the roof terrace topped off an excellent stay.nnWell done to the team at No42 for providing excellent service and a luxurious experience to the Margate beach front.
I took my partner here for his birthday in January and we had such a lovely stay, we upgraded to one of the sea view/balcony rooms and it was worth every penny. We had a couple of minor pieces of feedback which we left on the follow up survey and the manager responded so sincerely which I really appreciate! Can't wait to try another location :
