We had the best time staying at Margate house. It’s a beautiful hotel where you can the detail has really been considered. The room was beautiful with snacks/drinks provided and high end Toiletries too. The communication before, during and after was first rate and we felt really welcomed, comfortable and at home! Suze looked after us so well during our stay and noting was too much trouble! Fantastic recommendations, helping us secure a restaurant booking and a friendly face throughout. The breakfast was so good and far exceeded our expectations! Fresh fruit & berries, granola, yoghurt and delicious pastries each morning. The location was perfect for the beach and an easy walk to the bars, shops and restaurants. Free parking on the square that Margate house is on too! We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.
Stayed Easter weekend and loved it. It's is like staying with generous friends. So much thought has gone in to everything. The team are great. Nothing is too much trouble. You have them on whatsapp and it's all very easy. The interiors are very stylish. Rooms quiet and comfortable. Will def go back.
The House is so cosy and beautifully curated. There are so many thoughtful elements from top to bottom from the art to the unbelievably good croissants for breakfast.nnI had one of the best sleeps I've ever had; the room is just so calm and comfy.nnCouldn't recommend it more highly - a real gem.
A beautiful stay from start to finish. There isn’t a single thing Margate House hasn’t thought of when it comes to guest satisfaction. We were greeted by the lovely Suze and check in to our beautiful room. We were offered breakfast the following morning in the drawing room or in bed and it did not disappoint, fresh juice, warm croissants and granola all tucked up in the cosiest duvet. Margate House will always be a special place for us now.
We based ourselves here for two nights for our stay in Margate. A lovely hotel where we were made to feel welcome and comfortable. The communication was really well done with contact made before we arrived. I liked the informality but knew I could contact someone at all times. The hotel WhatsApp comms was initially unexpected but I actually found it was great to keep things informal - especially useful for a last minute gin & tonic brought to us while we lounged in front of the log burner.nnOur room was really nicely turned out and I loved the decor. The furnishings and fittings make this an interesting place to stay and a far cry from the standard templated hotel. The room had air conditioning, heated floor in the bathroom and a walk in shower. On first entering, the digital radio tuned to classical music set the scene, it was a small touch but one I enjoyed.nnBreakfast was a simple continental style affair which was done well, simple but good quality.nnThe staff we saw two, though, shamefully we've forgotten names - so sorry! were fantastic throughout. Attentive but subtle and so so nice.nnWhile there's no dedicated parking there are no permits or time limits to contend with on the road outside; we found a spot about 10 m down the road easily enough on an early Friday evening.nnIt's a casual 10 min walk into the old town area along the main road - it's well lit and runs parallel with the sea. There are quite a few small bars and places to eat.nnIn the other direction it's a pleasant weather permitting 20-30 mins walk to Botany Bay.nnDefinitely recommended and, should we return to Margate, would love to stay again.nnNo children or pets allowed.
