Room was comfortable and quiet. Shower was decent.nStaff were all very friendly, food was nice but evening meal service was incredibly slow. Took almost two hours to get all three courses out. One poor waitress left on her own.nBreakfast was lovely. Great hash browns.
Had a great breakfast to start the day, was surprised to be offered additional breakfast items like poached eggs & porridge. The creamy chocolate drinks are really nice. The supervisor, Dean explained the breakfast buffet in great detail. Thank you, will definitely return, even just for breakfast
Came for afternoon tea on 09/10 which was fine, only to receive a parking fine notice in the post today for £100 ! Nobody on reception mentioned anything about parking so unaware of any issue until today. Contacted hotel today and they cancelled parking notice immediately. I get the impression that I'm not the first to fall foul of this situation. Reception need to make visitors to the hotel aware when they book in.
Good location for the airport and very nice staff but hotel management seems to think that it is acceptable to confirm room bookings and then expect customers to put up with their profiteering tactics.nnPaid £150 room only & was then told that my room was directly above the function room which was hosting a disco & as the hotel was full I had no option to change room. No chance to get a decent nights rest when the music didn’t stop until midnight & I had to be up and out early.nnWish I’d looked at previous reviews, seems that I’m not the first that this has happened to.
Rooms seem very dated with a lot of small maintenance items not kept on top of. Biggest issue is the paper thin walls and noise from other guests at all hours. Complained to reception and they did nothing until I complained about second time. Pretty sleepless night, cheap enough but would avoid if you actually want some rest.nnMentioned to reception again at check-out. They offered some free pastries from the breakfast. This was politely declined by myself.
