I’ll start with the positives about this hotel -nnThe staff - they made for a quick and efficient check in, were friendly, and shared useful information.nnThe reception, bar, communal and restaurant areas are all clean and look modern.nnWe only ate breakfast and there was plenty of choice for hot/cold food and drink.nnNow the negatives -nnWe changed rooms twice pretty quickly after the initial check in. The first room had a ripped net curtain, odd tables beside the bed, and the bathrooom tiles/grout was covered in black mould. It turns out this room shouldn’t have been allocated due to other complaints raised before our arrival.nnAnother room was then issued and as we headed towards it the door was ajar. Upon entering the room the chair was in the middle of the room and not near the desk, the bed looked like it had been used/led on and hair were on the duvet pillows, once again mould in the bathroom.nnA call to customer services got us put through to the duty manager who came to speak with us and listened to our findings. He then looked at what other rooms were available and we then went to look at them.nnWe settled on the third room, which like the others in the hotel was smaller than other Premier Inn’s I’ve stayed at, but was better than the previous two. There was still some mould/black on the tiles/grouting as per the picture. You can see where the old emergency escape plans and locks were positioned on the door to.nnIt might be best to close some of the rooms whilst they’re given a refurbishment as it does look tired/dated.
Great budget hotel. The rooms we had looked like they had been recently refurbished so fresh and clean. Breakfast good value but a bit slow refreshing items that had run out. Overall for the price we paid excellent value.
This is unfortunately is the worst Premier Inn I’ve stayed at and I’ve stayed at a lot through work and leisure from the Scottish Highlands and down to the south coast. I had booked 2 different Premier Inns this weekend, Worksop on Friday night and Fosse Park Saturday night. Worksop was the best one I’ve ever stayed atnnFosse Park was in a good location and parking was easy and free. The outside of the hotel looked tired, dirty and run down but once through the door the reception area was nice, bright and modern. Check in was efficient. Our room was 102, located on the ground floor, right at the end of a long corridor. The corridor was very dated and run down and this was the same once we got through our door. The carpets were frayed and very dirty, there was dirt and dust on the skirting boards and bits of dirt on the tiles by the bath and the chrome handles on the bath were rusty. My bed was also tornnnBreakfast was lovely but looking out of the window to the railings and grounds they definitely need sorting too. Rusty railings and weeds everywhere. This hotel lets down the Premier Inn name and needs to be closed whilst a full refurbishment is done. I wouldn’t stay again until it has been
This has got to be the mankiest premier Inn we've stayed at. Staff were really helpful though, moving us from our initial room which was very tired, collapsed mattress and tiny. The whole hotel is worn out. Carpets, walls, lift etc. will be looking on Google earth before booking next time
I must give this hotel 1 star. The reasons for this are, the carpet appeared very dated and dirty. The environment was a bit dingy and looked not well looked after. The reception was warm and welcoming, however this entire place is in need of a revamp. The shower curtains looked a bit dirty toilet vanity was far from modern. This would not be an option for me again, it was definitely not worth it.
