Used to be a great place for fun and relaxing. Walk is impossible as it looks like abandoned by council now. Have grass grown upto my eyes and itchy growth everywhere. No maintenance at all. No bins for rubbish as if council wants people to leave rubbish and it won't be visible in jungle.nAfter 3 month of wait, 1/4th park's grass was mowed so uneven and so much growth that it's impossible to go home without tonnes of grass in shoes, socks and hem of bottoms.nWhole summer kids couldn't go to park in long grass as we can't see where they are in long grass.
Nice place for a walk duck, geese, swans in the ponds, fishing club there too, children's play area aswell only thing bringing it down is the litter which isn't fair as there are bins everywhere in the park hold on to your rubbish and dispose of it properly please.
Peaceful walk to the lakes from Western Park: wonderful water birds. Need more waste bins round the larger lake, especially the wooded side.
Good park to chill out and get a relief from the city rush. It's a bit small compared to Aylestone park but has many kind of features skating park, gym, some trails where all kinds of people can hangout. Great place to let your steam out.
Great Park with loads for the kids to do including woods to explore, play area, ducks to feed and there's even a stream for playing Pooh sticks. Lovely place to spend a couple of hours or so.
