Has been partially refurbished and is pleasant enough. The food is acceptable for the money but nothing special. Parking is an issue if you're visiting late but all things considered it's on a par with the Honourable Pilot. Not big portions as I had double side rice and the requested well done fish was soggy!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Made our experience really great. Plus the food was very warm and very enjoyable.

OK, not a bad place to go and enjoy a pint or two. Food wise, sharing platters are good but burgers need work

Good value meal. 2 courses for £8. Plenty to eat. Nicely served.  Not keen on the newly segregated area but pleasant enough experience.

I always eat at the star it is warm and friendly pub, the food is good and I have never had to complain.
