I'm a regular maybe once a week. Love the chicken and ribs. But had Sunday carvery today. Great price excellent neat and as much roast and veg as you can eat. Nice clean friendly atmosphere. Staff always attentive. Great place for couples families or business lunches. Easy access plenty of parking. Seem to have regular offers on.

Party of 5 waited too long for food one plate came finished before the others arrived good 5-10 minutes apart. Food cold burgers hard with stale buns. Miserable waitress. kids given colouring in pages only to be told we have no crayons. Unacceptable service. Manager was very nice, compensated for our experience with free deserts and some money back off our bill. Won't be going back there though just wasn't a nice experience at all. Poachers pocket Walderslade Road is my choice from now on can't fault them.

Just had a small family get together Christmas meal here and very disappointed. The food was tasty if not very hot and the staff were friendly and helpful . However, this is not run as a restaurant. A large table in the corner behind us had obviously been booked just as a party venue. At least twice the number of people for the size of table appeared with numerous children who ran in and out of the garden. Only a couple of people ordered food and the rest stood around their table and our table drinking and chatting. I felt very uncomfortable trying to enjoy a family meal with people standing right behind my chair. The staff took no action even though they were aware that we could not hear ourselves speak at times. Surely in a restaurant people should be asked to sit at their table and any extras should have another table! Doubly annoying was the fact that we had also booked to stay at the Premier Inn next door expecting a long evening after driving up from Sussex but our family left before 9pm because of the situation .

Top marks this lunchtime celebrating our diamond wedding anniversary. Nice meal with wine and coffee. Friendly staff.
