I’d like to extend a huge thank you to the team at Premier Inn—especially Lucy—who went above and beyond to make our stay truly exceptional. I stay here often and always receive great service, but every now and then someone stands out so much that you just have to say thank you.nnWhen I arrived, I was clearly tired from travelling and had requested a room with a view of the nicer part of the city. Lucy made every effort to accommodate this, and I really appreciated her care and attention. But it wasn’t just that—her professionalism, friendly manner, and thoughtful communication were outstanding. She struck that perfect balance of being approachable yet professional, which is something many struggle to achieve.nnIt’s clear that Lucy genuinely cares about her role and about the guests she serves, and that makes such a difference. Whether it’s the result of Premier Inn’s excellent training or a reflection of the quality of people you hire, there’s a lot other employers could learn from you.nnThank you once again for all that you do—I’m already looking forward to my next stay.
I recently stayed at the High Fisher Gate Premier Inn and was really impressed with the service I received. Jill, in particular, stood out — she was exceptionally friendly and helpful from start to finish. She greeted me with a warm smile, took the time to answer my questions, and made sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. It’s clear she genuinely cares about guests and goes the extra mile to make them feel welcome. Thank you, Jill, for making my visit such a pleasant experience!
This is my 4th visit to the Premier. Always the friendliest greeting. Jill was on reception & I must say she is a credit to the Hotel, with her warm smile and welcoming conversation, nothing is too much trouble for her, also this was the 1st time i have had breakfast. We had the all you can eat continental. Porridge was lovely as was the pancakes. We were looked after by the lovely Bernie, who again couldn't have looked after us more. Another credit to the hotel. Definitely the only place I'll stay when visiting Doncaster.
First and foremost, really lovely staff at this hotel.nnReception staff are very polite and helpful.nnEven though Premier Inns are a budget choice, the rooms leave a little to be desired.nnWorst issue during my stay, was drunk, semi-naked men running around the corridors making a nuisance of themselves and intimidating other guests.nnYou could argue that's not the hotels fault, but they shouldn't be letting guests continue to stay in the hotel with that level of behaviour.nnUnderwhelming.
MIXED REVIEW!nnI came last night to check in with my partner, we are 24 & 25 parents of 2 and definitely don’t look under 18.nWhen we came to check in we was greeting with a lady who treat us with nothing but disrespect.nThe self check in wouldn’t work so we needed help on this, a lady with blue hair who checked us in was on the phone to someone & looked to be angry by the fact she had to put this down.nStraight away she said ‘do you have ID’ not even ‘hello & welcome’ after saying I didn’t have my ID she refused us entry. My partner had his ID and I was always told if your with someone over 18 you can stay anyway? I’ve never in ALL my life ever needed ID for a premier inn, I asked to speak to a manager but she said no one else could help on this matter. As you can imagine I was getting distressed at this time due to having no where to stay at 7pm. We left the premises & ended up sleeping in our car.nnHAPPY NOTE.nI went back this morning to check I would be getting a refund for the stay we had paid for but wasn’t able to use, the manager on shift couldn’t of helped me anymore she reassured me that the room would be refunded and gave me some advice on what to do next, there was another lady with her who again was absolutely amazing.nI just felt like I needed to share this as I was never going back to the place but after speaking with the manager she really made me feel comfortable. This made me not want to write a complaint but felt like I needed to share how rude the woman was last night when we tried to check in.nnAgain thank you to the amazing people I spoke to this morning.
