Recently refurbished - generally a good job but a number of glaring issues. Sign on first floor not opposite the stair exit which meant there was a moment of confusion of which way to go. All it needed was to be positioned about 2m to the left. Freshly carpeted corridor floor creaked like it was an old building, why wasn't it sorted before the new carpet went down? B Our bathroom no longer has a heated towel rail or any other form of heating. After one shower every surface, including the toilet tissue holder, were running in condensation. Why? Also why no heated mirror and why only one light above the mirror which created lots of shadows when shaving. Does anyone from Premier Inn senior management not trial mock-ups of new rooms before they are signed off to be used by customers?

I had a good sleep but the rest of the experience has been rubbish. I arrived around 9pm. When I tried to check in I was told I had already checked in. I knew that not to be true so he took me up to the room and it turned out some one else was in there with the same last name as myself. No problem I thought, I'll just go in the room that guy was meant to have. However, as my work had already paid for my stay there was an issue in transferring the booking as the guy in my original room hadn't yet paid. So the staff member told me to go get some food and he would sort things. He very kindly brought my room ticket over. When I went up to my room I had mentioned to him that I had breakfast on my booking so hoped I wouldn't have an issue in the morning. I was told, no don't worry it will be fine and I'll update the bookings for the restaurant. No bother I thought... Come the morning, head over for breakfast... Love and behold my room doesn't have a breakfast booked on it. They still have my name down against the original number meaning the other guy gets a free breakfast whereas I don't. After explaining things they finally gave me breakfast and when I said to the staff member from last night as he was still on all I got was pretty much a shrug of his shoulders and a quick 'I did tell them to update it...' Hopefully never have to come back here especially as the guy claims he may be in charge soon!
