Come and stay in a cosy camping pod on a working hill farm in rural Wales, enjoy the peace and quiet and wonderful views. Get away from it all!
Powys Pods is a rural retreat hidden away in the Welsh marches on a working semi-organic hill farm. Our aim is to provide an alternative to the traditional camping experience without losing the back to nature appeal so many people seek.
Our site is a perfect base for walkers, pony trekkers, mountain bikers, bird watchers and for those who just want to enjoy the tranquillity of the countryside. Evenings can be spent relaxing, cooking up a feast on the barbecue or roasting marshmallows around the bonfire pit, all whilst enjoying some beautiful sunsets over the valley. You may be lucky enough to see a red kite soaring in the summer breeze, or perhaps try some star gazing on a clear night.
The wooden pods have heating and lighting and the site has a covered area housing toilets, showers, a drying room and a food preparation area. So you can be comfortable, warm and dry in all weathers, while fully experiencing the outdoor life. The pods are well spaced in environmentally friendly camping areas.
We have three camping pods; a standard one (Allt Dderw) for 3 adults (or 2 adults & 2 small children), a family pod (Bryn-Gwyn) available for up to 5 people and a microlodge (Ardwyn) which can accommodate two people and has the bonus of having beds already waiting for you (just bring a sleeping bag and a pillow)! The family pod is also suitable for less able or disabled campers.
