The Gourmet package represents extremely good value for money, and the food is of great quality. I'd go so far as to say the breakfast is the best that I have had in a hotel. The staff were very friendly, and the public areas of the hotel generally in good condition. Our room was perfectly clean and comfortable but perhaps a little tired looking in places. The only slight disappointment was the spa. My wife had a massage which I'm told was extremely good, however the pool area could do with more loungers (only 4 at the moment), robes should be made readily available, and generally it could be made to feel a bit more luxurious. However, I go back to my first sentence, for £109 we had £75 worth of evening meal, and £30 worth of breakfast. So the slightly tired room and use of the less than perfect spa cost us £4. So, I'm not complaining!

We went on a Promotion Gourmet 1 night stay. It was excellent value. Food was delicious. The gym is basic but clean and all the machines worked. The double room was fine. The staff were very friendly. Definitely not a corporate hotel.

This hotel is fantastic. Staff are great and really helpful. Spa facilities are lovely - pool sauna steam room and gym Lots of parking on site

Love this hotel, can't beat the Gourmet Break when it's on offer... We've been coming to this hotel at least once a year every year for the past 8 years and if anything it has just gotten better. It's a consistently lovely stay with attentive staff, lovely clean facilities and delicious locally sourced food. Can't wait to go back next year!

Visited for the eighth time taking advantage of the hotel's £99 "Gourmet Break" deal which includes a room for two people with six course taster menu and a glass of Champagne, a Welsh cooked breakfast the next day, and use of the excellent leisure facilities. The service is always excellent, and the facilities are always clean and tidy. The taster menu this year was the best I've had at the hotel. I will definitely be booking again!
