It’s incredible! Today, in the middle of a drought that’s leading to wildfires across the country and virtually every supermarket finally being shamed into stopping the sale of these dreadful disposable BBQs, I go out for my weekend shopping. I visit the Poundstretcher store in Hertford and what’s the first thing I see? You’ve guessed it –a pile of disposable BBQs for sale at 50% off. So, Poundstretcher has obviously decided to shamefully cash-in by being one of the few remaining retailers in the country irresponsible enough to be still knocking these things out. Shame on you!
Went in there to do my Christmas shopping on the 2/11/22 very polite staff and very helpful especially the young girl behind the till with long black hair ended up spending more than I should certainly will be coming back to shop in there again...
A lot of options of cheap things to buy. Can't beat a 'pound land' or similar type of shop!
They only let 3 people in. Have you the seen the size of the shop. Also I walked in then some kids got me sent out. And the staff don't wear a mask as well as being horrible
Such a scruffy shop.... part empty shelves and shelves and window displays stuffed with loo roll and sale posters. The staff are under too much pressure to care for the shop properly and can be seen as rude. If shelves are not empty, they are filled up with the too much quantity of the same product. Not much variety of items in here. Shape up!
Would rank this halfway between a market and Wilko . With the 50% off over £5 payment, there is a bargain to be found.
A good affordable store
This Poundstretcher was a huge disappointment. Perhaps "small town" status, insufficient customers, inadequate management - whatever the reason, the shelves were badly stocked, choices minimal, some old favourites not available. Shop very disorganised and messy. Only saw 2 staff, the one who checked us out was polite and cheerful.
Often good for a bargain.
Centre of town value for money shop. Variety of household, gardening, pet and food items. Currently no chilled or frozen foods.
