Great afternoon stop for food. Welcoming atmosphere wasn’t mega busy. Service with a smile and delightful conversation from the staff. Food is great priced and was delicious. Will defo visit again when I’m back in Inverness
I have spent the better part of a month in Inverness and stopped into at least a dozen or more different pubs/restaurants with varying vibes and atmospheres. One of the struggles here has been many places hold their tables well in advance for a reservation or post signs stating that they're "all booked up" for the evening. So what to think when you find a couple of spots where there is no wait and it's laid back and just relaxing? Well, Platform 8 has been a watering hole once and dinner choice twice for me. No lines no waiting. Open seating and order at the bar!! Wings, burger, Tennent's lager first time then, then the wings again Alabama BBQ sauce!!! and the Belhaven Steak and Ale Pie on my second dinner visit. Prices are reasonable and in line and the service is friendly. Avoid being turned away elsewhere and come here!
Stopped for a quick bit to eat! The food was good! However, the chicken pie could have had more filling. The clotted cream ice cream is seriously to die for.
Amazing pub, beautiful interior, friendly atmosphere, menu is amazing and best food in Inverness! Bar staff are brilliant! Really friendly and excellent customer service! Kieran one of the staff members was brilliant, great service and really caring. A place you must visit in inverness Scotland! Lunch menu is great aswell as finner menu.
Very good place for fast and good lunch and dinner. We did use Platform8 twice during our short stay in Inverness and we would definitely use it even more if staying longer. There was free water to be refilled any time we wanted, food was delicious and portions pretty large so that we were very happy. Food/drinks are ordered and paid upfront at the bar or online and served relatively fast and fresh. We do recommend to taste food in here!
This pub was adequate but had run out of fish and chips at the time we visited. How does a UK pub run out of fish and chips? So we had the haggis fritters instead which were decent and they served the Strongbow Dark Fruit that my wife likes so that was a plus. The serving staff was also friendly and helpful. And there was plenty of seating.
Great place. Traditional food at its finest and at the same time the prices are very fair.
This is supposed to be a sport bar, but when the Tyson Fury fight card was on, they had the World Cup football on every screen, even 1 or 2 on the boxing would have been good. Also, when the Autumn international rugby matches were on, they hadn't even bothered to update, their subscription to show the games, had to watch the first half of Scotland 's first game on my phone. Shocking stuff. On a plus point their kilo of chicken wings is awesome
Lovely place and friendly staff. They were really helpful and kind to me and my dog. Even went the extra while with customer service I will definitely be back on holiday in Inverness again. Plus the food was so good and a really good price
Visited Saturday lunchtime. Was served promptly and in a friendly manner apologies for not remembering the staffs name! food arrived quickly and was superb. Couldn't fault the service and will definitely be back next time we're up. Cheers
