Cafe was ok but limited choice. We came for the mazes which are seriously dilapidated, presumably the reason why entry is now free. The children enjoyed anyway, but everywhere is in quite a poor state of repair. Lovely surroundings though next to the river.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Very, very disappointed, run down, rotten tree top walkway felt very unsafe. No animals, play area removed and mazes were not really mazes at all. Only saving grace were the beautiful ducklings and goslings.
All mazes open and well thought out, better than expected. Free to visit when we went July 2022 which was a bonus. Website needs updating to focus on mazes and lake instead of treetop walk and animals.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Very beautiful place to spend some time with the family. Unfortunately winter times plants are not so attractive and mazes look a bit poor the reason you get the discounted ticket that time of the year, but once they are green it all looks amazing. Lot of walking around so you can spend there a few hours not being bored.
Great few hours out for the price , take a picnic blanket and food. The 4 maze's are great fun. Just make sure the weather is good.
Just been here today to take our children out for the day. We had an absolutely amazing time. We did about half the stuff in 4 hours of a day with a 3 and 5 year old. The maizes are brilliant however a lil overgrown on top. Think they cud maybe do with trimming the bushes!!! I only have one gripe. The old women who works on the till as u enter. Wat a jumped up lil snot she is. We didn't realise about paying at the cafe and we were trying to find somewhere. She chased after us n told us we shudnt b there cus we haven't paid. Customer relations don't seem to be her specialist topic. Apart from that I think we will b here again in the future.
A fab place to take the kids!! Didnt use the cafe or soft play as we took our own food. But the animals, lake and walks were really good! Also getting lost around the mazes
This place used to be great fun with the smaller members of the family. I took a friend today only to be ashamed by my previous recommendation. There's free parking and no entry fee any more. These are about the only positives I could list. We quickly realised why we were the only people in this venue. The animals have been removed, they no longer sell duck/fish food. Aside from the ducks, there are zero animals to see here now. The wooden tree walk is so dilapidated, rotten and slippery. it should be closed due to how dangerous it is. All the playground equipment has been removed. There's no play areas for children now. The mazes are overgrown and hazardous to smaller children due to the amount of nettles and lack of maintenance. The soft play area is £3 an hour per child and sessions are managed by strict time slots. We were told our dog wasn't allowed in the indoor area at all, so we wouldn't let the small children go in the tiny softplay area even if we did want to fork out the money. As we'd have to leave them unsupervised. The food prices are sheer greed. £2.10 per can of drink. £3 for a cappuccino. Food was eye wateringly pricey. A children's meal consisting of a tiny sandwich, some fruit and a capri sun would run you in at over £5. You might be able to overlook these prices previously when there was something there to actually do and see.... Staff are rude and seem like they'd rather be anywhere else. Frankly I don't blame them. Over heard them complaining about their colleagues and when they could take their breaks. This isn't the place it used to be, please don't bother anymore.
Amazing place for day out with children. A lot things to do. Good cafe. Clean toilets. Value for money Huge garden centre on opposite side like a bonus
Nice place and free to visit - definitely a bit run down since it’s heyday as plantasia with the mazes and treetop walks needing some TLC - more suited for younger kids but still worth a visitVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
