Incredible meal overall! I don’t think the snacks add much value to the menu tbh but the fish was nice. The 4 course menu was great, my favourite was the 3rd course and dessert. We went for the wine pairing which was nicely matching the food. But if you’re picky with wines then maybe not, I wasn’t fan of the dessert wine and was hoping they’d change that for me but they were not flexible with that. Other than that, fav experience and we will be back!
Excellent fare, friendly attentive service and an informal living room feel. With a new menu every week, you are guaranteed seasonality and creativity. Great wine list to accompany. Highly recommended.Food: 5/5

Want to try the restaurant which never repeats a dish. Really beyond my expectations. It’s amazing if they present food consistently great as today. it’s my first time. So I am not sure about other nights. The chefs did an amazing job being creative and cooking delicious food. Everything was cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. Lovely little neighbourhood restaurant with a very good tasting menu. Would definitely recommend as a cute place for a birthday or other occasion with family/friends. A must try for all the foodies out there! The ice cream here is fantastic, I wish I could buy it in a tub!
We booked a table of 4 a few days in advance for a Friday night. This was a birthday event for my brother in law. The restaurant is easy to get to and in a nice and quite little street. We were helped the moment we walked in and the space was clean The tasting menu together with the wine pairing coat around 110 pounds each. The meals were all delicious but like many of these restaurants I left hungry. That said, it was a great experience, great wine, good food and service. Just not personally my style, although my guests did enjoy it. They were very accommodating to my gluten intolerance which was great.
Have been going here with my partner since the place opened in 2005. We've celebrated birthdays and brought friends and family... the food was always been top drawer. Excited to hear that ater 411 weekly menus and no repeat dishes they're moving on to a different project à la carte in the same space. Best of luck to Sesta! Vegetarian options: They always had a veggie version of their set menu.
The restaurant was superb, the staff even more-so. One of them, a moustache I'd gentleman aspiring himself to Salvador Dali, extrovert in the extreme, entertainment on a stick, as the saying goes! Plus fantastic descriptions of all the ingredients contained in each of the separate meals. The 6Courses for £40pp which is is a good deal and each course was wonderful. My single gripe would be that all the food wasn't the right temperature, most were just tepid whereas I like mine piping hot! All the same the flavours were perfect. There were four of us dining, two being vegetarian, all of us were wonderfully happy with their meals, who wouldn't be! Wine pairing was available but we just had a single bottle and myself small bottles of local lager. The dessert was to die for, perfect finish to a perfect experience. I can't recall whether there was any music playing, I think not! A good sign as the atmosphere didn't need it, we were comfortable just being there, we didn't need music, just happy to be together in an enjoyable restaurant. Lots of couples, possibly having romantic meals together. At approx £75/head it wasn't expensive at all. We will all be very happy to return again. I used to love in Dalston 40years ago, it has changed but for the better I would say. Vegetarian options: Fantastic selection for two of my fellow diners. Parking: We all live locally so we didn't require any parking. Kid-friendliness: We didn't see any children but if they attend there were lots of food suitable for the more 'grown up/mature' diners.
Pigdin should have multiple Michelin stars, have been twice and travelled for hours specifically to eat here on special occasions. Cocktails were also incredible. Worth every penny, guests said all other food tastes bland now in comparison to Pigdin.Food: 5/5
Stunning tasting menu!! We absolutely loved our dinner at Pidgin as have wanted to go for years! It's incredibly impressive that the menu changes every week as every bite was a delight. The ambiance is excellent as it felt very intimate and cozy. Service was also brilliant, our waitress explained all the dishes beautifully. Can't wait to go again and try out a new menu on another week!
