Cant comment on the Job as it Wasn't actually Picfords just another company who they give the Jobs too Don't PAY more because of the name PICKFORDS ,seems like a SCAM they just give the job to another company. FEEL MISLEAD WILL NEVER USE AGAIN . they have already lost another job family member moving in 3 weeks. Also couldn't contact anyone managing the job when the van was hours late.
Appalling service and no response to my complaint from more than a year ago. I paid additional insurance for the move and have had to use this to make repairs to items that were agreed as fragile, high value items because the removals team did not handle them properly. They carried 3 antique prints unwrapped and stacked on top of one another, damaging all 3. The piano was not moved properly, causing significant damage requiring a specialist restorer. The house we moved out of was damaged - spills on the carpet; gouged plasterwork; and they broke a light off the wall. The beds were not reconstructed safely - the crew took most of the screws away with them and did not return to fix the problem despite repeated assurances from head office that they would. On the day they returned to fix the beds they said they needed to go to a store and that they would be back - they disappeared and never returned. In the midst of the pandemic the crew didn't wear masks at any point inside our house. One of them took regular naps he seemed either hungover or on drugs, meaning that the move took an extraordinary amount of time. Absolutely the worst removals service in fact, the worst service of any kind I have ever experienced and we're still trying to get even an initial response to out complaint more than a year later.
Whatever you do, do not move with these Jokers. They change significantly more than any other removals company, and if like me - you pay it because you think they will do a better job - you're wrong. The literally just contract out your removal to another dodgy removal company that I have never heard of, who don't care about your belongings, throw them about, tread dirt in to my new carpet, scratch my brand new wooden floor. One of them even asked my teenage daughter for her phone number. All in all, numerous items were broken, they didn't protect any of the furniture on the vans, so many items are now scratched. When they turned up, it was clear that the tiny van they sent was going to be nowhere big enough, so this meant that they had to do numerous trips and which delayed us picking up the keys, the whole situation was beyond stressful and we were all so upset and angry. My advice, just don't use them - they just lie and give you the worst service by any old cowboy they can find.

got to big and detached from customers: all calls are now diverted to Edinburgh so if you want a personal tailored local service then your not going to get it. Shame, they got to big, so if you cant even get a person who knows the area, you would be screwed if you have a problem on the day.
Damage to wall finishes at our former property in removal of our lounge furniture. Damage to lounge furniture. Storage of our boxes on dirty removal van floors resulted in black markings when the boxes were placed on new carpets at new address. Hopefully our removal insurance will cover. Absolutely terrible.
Very helpful efficient crew for move on 30/10/15. excellent service from delivery of boxes and wardrobe crates before move to arranging the move. would use them again but now hopefully staying in this property !!!
Not recommended Our goods and furniture were not packed properly and, as a result, several items of furniture were damaged. Pickfords was the most expensive quote of the three we had obtained and we are very disappointed that the company did not deliver the professional service and the quality they claim to provide. It took over 3 months to sort out the insurance repairs and we are still trying to get compensation after 6 months!
Appalling service from the moment the still smelling of alcohol from the night before removal guys started, through the multiple breakages, and up to the months and months it has taken them to not pay the insurance claim. NOT ONE SINGLE PHONE CALL FROM THEM. I have had to chase them regularly and am still waiting... Shame on you Pickfords. Could not post without a star which they clearly do not deserve.
