Classy high quality Italian restaurant. Lovely food and good friendly service but a few minor irritations mean only 4* The first irritating thing was they didn’t have any olives now this might not seem like a big deal but really, an Italian restaurant that cant keep a stock of olives! Poor show… The other was the automatic gratuity. Now I don’t mind paying 10% as a tip but I like to do it as an option. I went here mid week I have been before so I knew it was a good restaurant because they had an offer on for club individual members 50% off food and non alcoholic drinks to a maximum of £10 off per person so what is usually a rather expensive restaurant becomes more reasonable. What irritated me was they charged the 10% on the full bill then took off the £20 now so far as I’m concerned that is just cheeky!
Food and service absolutely top drawer again. We needed to be quick due to getting to a concert and they obliged with no stress or fuss. Best seafood pasta I've had at a Piccolinos ever
Absolutely gorgeous food. Just remarkable. Starter of Prawn garlic bread was lovely and the Cod melts in your mouth. Outstanding meal all roundFood: 5/5
Divine food and very decently sized. We didn't get our table water that we requested but can't really complain about anything else, accommodating for allergies and dietary needs too.
Had a lovely meal in picollino, we were the first people in on a Wednesday so received fantastic prompt service. Shortly after 3 more groups arrived. The food, service and atmosphere were all great. We were sat in a booth which was comfortable and well positioned in the middle of the restaurant. We made the most of the January offer and ordered rosemary and garlic salt flatbread and arancini to start and shared the Chateaubriand for main, with an additional rocket and parmesan salad. We upgraded our fries to truffle and parmesan which were well seasoned. Kept to my dry January promise so can't comment on the wine but there was a good selection.
Great restaurant very friendly staff and a great deal on this January 50% off Kid-friendliness: Lovely kids menu and the staff very friendly with my little 2 yr old son
This restaurant was referred to us by our Beatles History tour guide in Liverpool. Since it was right around the corner from where we were staying, we gave it a shot. We've been in England for a week, and this was the best meal we have had yet. The food, atmosphere, and service were superb. It's on our A list and can't wait to go back.Food: 5/5
Extremely disappointed with having to wait thirty minutes for our table after having made a reservation one week in advance and arriving on time for it I mean, what’s the point of making a reservation then?. Went on to grab a drink from the bar to wait for our apparently reserved table, the bartender wasn’t even sure what “neat” whisky mean C‘mon. Finally we were shown to our table, the waiter and waitress were polite and friendly. Ordered two pastas for mains, which tasted average at best had to season them with salt and pepper for flavour. Overall verdict: They’re offering 50% off food sometime in January but even that isn’t enticing enough for us to think of returning.
We decided to visit this restaurant after going to the Albert Dock. We specifically said that we didn't like mustard or pepper and the waiter brought out our starter covered in black pepper. I had to cancel the main dish because that contained pepper too. It's unbelievable that they can treat you like that
Amazing food! Had the seafood skewers which was brilliant add a side salad though. Cheese board for dessert was great. Really recommend the placeFood: 5/5
