Lovely park. You can walk around the pond or take a picnic. Take the dogs for a walk. If you go before 6 pm you'll need a £1 for the car park. There are public toilets and a small shop which opens during spring /summer months.

A beautiful  idyllic location . A gentle walk  around the  pond takes about  half an hour and  is a popular spot for  dog walking. There  are a few picnic tables and a refreshment  lockup which is seasonal. There  is ample parking though  not  free. The site would benefit further  development but is nevertheless  worthy  of a short visit on both a summer day and fresh autumn or winter day.

Nice relaxing place. Cafe serves fresh food cooked to order. Busy in hot weather so be patient. Lovely walks around the lake and links to others.

Beautiful fishing pond and lovely walk around the area. They do have camping and glamping areas but never used the facilitlys myself. I mainly use the area for taking photos and letting the kids and dog run wild and burn some energy.

This has always been a place to get away and enjoy a walk, the pond always stays the same as everything changes. It was designed as a feeder for industrial canals but is now subsidised by the local anglers and county council.  The landscape around it continues to change, now there are Solar And Wind Farms rather than Coal mines. One thing that I will add is that keep all dogs on leads as much as possible. So many people visit but they sometimes do not clean up after their animals even though there are bins provided!!
