Nice walk around the gardens and had a drink in the tea room. Staff were very polite in there. The old stone arch is really nice. Good to see small fish and baby ducks in the pond. Parked in the free car park next to the main entrance.
Bit of a hidden gem, particularly on a warm summer’s day. Green entry to grounds and house. The grounds are beautiful a lots of paths to explore, bandstand, ‘grotto’, ice-house and so much more. All well kept but in a very natural way. The only exception to this is the pond which was sad to see - completely stagnant yet wouldn’t take much to sort out.nThe house itself has a really interesting history, although won’t take you long to get around. Didn’t try the cafe but have heard very good things. Main reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is the less than friendly welcome at the reception area.
What a lovely park! Didn't know it existed until a few months ago. Beautiful gardens and lovely cafe with inside & outside seating area. Lovely for young & old alike. Also a bandstand with entertainment on Sundays during June & July. I'll definitely be going back now I know it's there.
Lovely, generous Sunday dinner. Beef slightly tough but chicken cooked beautifully. The staff were so kind and very attentive. Food was served promptly and warm with additional condiments provided at service. Buffet food also very nice and not your usual run-of-the-mill cheap buffets, it shows, it really does. Grounds were beautiful too. Only negative would be the parking situation but would definitely visit again!
Lovely tea rooms. Only had time for cup of tea and Welsh cake today but impressed. They were extremely busy - prices and service excellent. A very easy recommend.
